Gotta agree with Rosa. You forgot to mention that she could cycle ult after ult due to reload speed and ult duration, so there was virtually no way to get her out of her ult unless you stunned her with Frank in the last second so it was "easier to deal with her"...

Imo, I don't think it should affect her rating because its completely trash on other modes. And having showdown as a basis for a gamebreaking brawler is just... eugh. And take note, its just showdown alone. Sure, majority of the players play the mode, but it was so bad in other situations that they reworked it

With Poco, there was a time where if I remember correctly, he could get his super in ONLY 4 ATTACKS, he could CHAIN super after super and was very hard to kill because of how much he could heal, and at the same time Barley was also VERY broken because he had a longer range and dealt more damage, both of these are REALLY worth mentioning. Ruffs on release could also INSTANTLY unload ALL of his ammo so they quickly nerfed him

You forgot about gene literally breaking the game when using his super. Also surge should be in a/s. That star power that made his 4th level attacks split in the middle of nowhere was absolutely broken

There was one time with Jessie when she did so much damage she did more damage than a Brock rocket (this was when each Jessie bounce damage would be reduced by 20 or 25%)

Yeah I was about to say this, she was definitely S tier before when they buffed her damage and her projectiles didn't decrease in damage as they bounced

One thing you forgot about Shelly was when her band-aid starpower was first released it healed so much and was super overpowered (in showdown at least)

Nita was without a doubt a menace when gadgets were first released, she could make her bear stun anyone in range instantly unlike now where it takes some times, surprised kairos didn’t mention that

My personal thoughts : 1. Ruffs should absolutely be higher on the tier list, that burst fire was crazy and he's been hovering on top 20 for a very long time. 2. Nita when gadgets released was really broken with her instastun gadget. 3. Emz when gadgets released and she had no counters because the radius was so big 4. It wasn't just the fact that he had bouncy castle, although it was a ridiculously strong gadget. Rico is a very map dependant brawler, and there were a ton of good maps for him at the time. The Bouncy Castle gadget made him playable almost anywhere anyway. 5. Bo totem cheese and insta triggering tripwire 6. Surge on release with To the Max? And Surge after the rework was crazy strong, if I remember correctly he cycled supers way too quickly because Power Surge gave an extra upgrade. 7. Tara's second gadget had extra health back in the day, and there were other things that I don't remember that made her very strong. 8. Otis after the buffs did break the game? He was number 1 in competitive for a very long time, and still remains a really good brawler. 9. Honeycoat on release? And rattled hive doing insane amounts of damage? 10. Just because Gale was gimmicky doesn't mean he wasn't really broken. The jump pad was broken no matter what, it wasn't gimmicky. And I'm pretty sure that after they buffed him he started doing a lot of damage and cycling supers. 11. I'm very surprised you didn't mention Tick's second gadget on release, Tick was out of control then. He also did a lot of damage. 12. I don't think Max in C tier makes sense because she was such a solid character for SUCH A LONG TIME. 13. There were SO many Mr. P metas, and they were all really frustrating to play in. I don't remember exact details, but the one I do remember was his 2nd gadget on release. That thing was so stupid, spawing a porter on someone was way too broken. 14. I feel that if a character is broken for an extremely long time, they should be higher on the list. Case in point, Byron. He cycled supers so fast back then. 15. Crow was really good when gadgets first released, his defense booster was really solid. His second gadget also slowed for 5 seconds at the beginning, and he's been one of the top ten since then. 16. The maps were really good for Piper back then, with maps like Shooting Star being very common. 17. It wasn't that Grom's shot went fast, it was that it was similar to Barley where the speed wasn't consistent, where it took very long to hit the ground far away, but hit the ground instantly up close. Also his super had a stupid amount of range. 18. Kairos? The meta right now? With Sqeak's Chain Reaction star power? 19. You forgot to mention Rt's attack speed when split. 20. Sandy's second gadget and that he did a lot more damage also contributed to him being very strong. And I still think that if they were broken for an extended period of time, they should be higher. 21. Janet's main reason she was broken was because she could cycle supers way too much. Also, you could place the gadget while in the air. For some reason. 22. Meg on release was crazy good because she could cycle supers so quickly, as it only took 6 bullets (3 ammo) to charge her super back. 23. Poco's screeching solo on release did 1200 damage instead of 1000 damage. I don't remember if that made him much stronger than now, but it's something to note. 24. Jacky's speed gadget was stronger, and her super, although you couldn't move, gave you a 50% SHIELD. And it LINGERED. At least, I think it did. 25. Bandaid Shelly. I think the memories will flood back in once you read those words. BAND-AID SHELLY. 26. Stu's second gadget used to do way more damage and also gave Stu a free super. His Gas-o-heal star power also healed him 50 extra HP, which doesn't sound like much, but it was. 27. Rosa was also crazy good with the Speed Gear when gears first released. And that's everything! Please read it so that I didn't waste my time. Edit: Mortis when Coiled Snake was made basekit was very strong, with it healing him 1800 HP and I believe it was much faster to charge Coiled Snake.

God I remember the Rosapcolypse. Because she was a rare brawler that meant everyone had her from boxes. So I think that made it even worse because every showdown match was just Rosa and the matches would last like 5 EXTRA minutes because no one would die cause if the shield even with everyone hitting each other

Suggestion: Colt and Bea should be higher, at least C tier since both their gadget dealt 3000 damage instantly, which means instant kills sometimes - Emz and Nita should be higher since their gadget was crazy strong, Emz's gadget was crazy huge, while Nita's stun was instantly instead of having a delay - Piper had Snappy Sniping which means she could fire 5-6 shots in succession, and her attack dealt more damage than it is now - Can't believe you didn't mention Band-Aid Shelly when you talked about her and she was truly at her peak then

Band-aid Shelly definitely was not her peak. She was monster only in Showdown, strong in brawl ball and good in others. While all S tier lists were at least strong, or more usually broken in every game mode. When Shelly’s speed was bugged she was really strong in every game mode, even in bounty

I think Kairos forgot when bea had the survive at 1hp star power and Shelly's band aid star power when it was first released 😅

I remember that when Ruffs was released he could unload the 3 shots in seconds

(in my opinion), there is a couple of mistakes here and there, and i just want to point them all in one comment: Jessie: When she got her damage rework, she was absolutely stupid. I mean she wasn't op like Sandy was for example, but she is at least D tier Colt: ok this man got 6 whole months of terror during the beta; and then destroyed the game for 2 months when he's silver bullet gadget got released, he he's at least in the bottom of the B tier (he is also by far the best brawler in the game in takedown) Ruffs: he was really good when first released, had more health, and his gadget was better; he could also spam 3 attacks instantly; it wasn't really broken, but he shouldn't be at the same level as Nani Dynamike: ok, this one is a forgotten one, but back in beta, there was a meta, which dynamike super would explode 0.2sec sooner; which doesn't feel like a lot, but this meant he was abble to hit any normal speed brawler with his super... using auto aims; yep that was stupid, he should be at least in C tier for that EMZ: ok, she never really broke the game, but she's been a top tier brawler so many times, she should be a bit higher (not by much tho) Rico: back in beta, his range was so stupid, you couldn't see the end of it, it was way farther than Piper's range, you have no idea how stupid that was, but only C tier, since he had less health than Tick Pam: for so long, she was the best tank, the best damage dealer, the best sniper, the best healer, the best everything, she can't be in F tier, at least B tier Bo: my man forgot about Bo's tripwire gadget, which was absolutely insane on release, at least top of the C tier for this one Willow: I have no idea which damage nerf you're talking about, since it just never happened, so bottom of the F tier Surge: ok this one i don't need to explain of broken surge was on release, he was broken for the exact same reason as sprout; you couldn't dodge his attacks, however he had to upgrade first, so top of the A tier Frank: ok this one is just a big mistake, since Frank was just so bad on release, he got a lot of ranges buffs, and a health buff; which ended up being to much; he wasn't broken at all the day he came out. However he is still D tier Bea: her 2nd star power was so stupid, you basically had to kill her twice each times; way to broken, at least B tier Gael: When he got reworked on surge released, the meta was all about 3 brawlers: Surge, Mister P and Gael; Gael was doing a crap ton of damages, and his super would charge even faster; his gadget was also broken, top of the C tier Colette: I mean yeah she is good, but she never needed a nerf, like she is a quite balanced brawler, so top of the F tier Bonnie: she never got that damage nerf; I mean yes she did, but before being released, which shouldn't count, the only nerf she got then was her health, being decreased by 600 at power level 11; bottom of the D tier Mister P: that guy was broken for 6 whole months, became broken again when his 2nd gadget got released, and is very good right now; B tier Crow: ok this one is top tier since he got that 40% heal reduction buff, and was broken on beta at the same time as Colt and Rico, B tier RT: he got heavily nerfed... before being release, so same as Bonnie there; C tier Janet: she really wasn't broken at all, she was just a really good pick everywhere, top of the C tier Ash: he was really good, just never really broken, he needed Byron to be good, but that's all, he was not as good as Piper on release for example, so bottom of the C tier Buster: ok hear me out: Buster is the brawler that got the most amount of nerfs in a row, in the history of the game, he got 10 nerfs, like, it didn't last long, and people had to pay 50 dollars to get him before he got nerfed, but it did exist, and was maybe more broken than Rosa on release (I mean Rosa could be countered by Shelly at least, Buster the only way to win against him, was literally to avoid the fight with him, that was ridiculous how unkillable he was), top of the S tier, easily. Gray: his grand piano gadget was really funny because of how big it was, but it didn't really make him broken. Being abble to tp you're whole team just allowed very cheesy strategies, that couldn't work at high level (like try that bo gray jacky at 1000 trophy, you would get blasted for even attempting it); he is still very good, but never really broke the game, so C tier Cordelius: yes, he was very good. I get it. Was he better than Grom on released? Absolutely not, he have so many counters, like Crow, Squeak, Carl, Lou... and his mute gadget, pls guys, stop with this, it was a mute for only 1.5 sec, and halve you're next attack damages; is that really better than just jumping over the ennemies bullets? Bottom of the B tier Sam: his star power was really strong, I do agree. But again: better that Grom or Penny? B tier Edgar: ok, once and for all: Edgar is bad; he was bad before, he was bad on release, he's always been bad. On release he was even worse, since he would get blasted by colt silver bullet. "Yeah, but he got some big nerfs on his super charges", he didn't. He got a "nerf" to his first gadget. It wasn't a nerf, but let's call this a nerf. It went from "700% super charge for 3sec" to "525% super charge rate for 4sec"; if you do you're maths, you can understand that 3 x 700 = 4 x 525. He also got a super charge nerf: from 10 hits, to 12 hits. Ok let's have an example for this one: imagine, Edgar jump on a poor jessie (she can't do anything against him even now), paf she ded, edgar landed 6 hits. Back then, with a 10 hits super charge, Edgar would need to wait 12sec to get his super back. After the nerfs, he need to wait 15sec, so an additionnal 3sec. 3sec, is 10% of 30sec. Guys, it's just the super charge gear; Edgar was being countered the same ways as today: Carl's super, EMZ gadget, Gene gadget, and so on; bottom of the F tier, below Doug. Jacky: how fast she could unload her attacks wasn't a reason; if you were far away, she wouldn't be abble to hit you in the first place. Her gadget on the other hand, oh boy, was it good. Good enought to be top of the A tier? Not really, but at least top of the B tier. Shelly: I agree with her placement, but only because of bandaid release, not because of the speed buff. Stu: the knockback was a hard counter for Edgar, Mortis, Bibi and Frank, that is all, it was also kicking the ennemies out of the fire, which wasn't helping him; he was really strong tho, so top of the B tier, but in no world he is in S tier. And that is all, and pls that's just my opinion don't sue me, I love you're vids keep up the good work.

There used to be the mortis and I think it was dynamike or just some throwers in bounty. Mortis would dash and grab the star and then hide behind the walls and there was nothing you could do. S tier honestly, it was like a 100% win rate back in beta.

Agree with everything except that I might find some of these situations slightly worse or better than you believe, but Edgar at least felt really broken. He saw you and pressed his gadget, and his super charged way too fast and it gave you less time to react to an Edgar running towards you and trying to land a Super. Not only that, he could use back-to-back gadgets. He activates his first gadget, spends two seconds in the air/killing a brawler, then he used it again and in three seconds he was onto you. I'm not sure how strong it actually was, but I don't think "broken" needs to be at the pro level; on launch, everyone who wasn't really good at the game needed time to adapt to Edgar whilst Edgar was super easy to use.

A note about piper. You’re forgetting about the time snappy sniping was released, the 0.5 amo was so broken that sometimes she’d be referred to as machine gun piper

Wait, what? Wasn't Pam the best brawler in the game a couple of updates in a row? We had less variety back then, and a healer that could tank, had good range and one of the best dps made her clearly the best. It was nearly impossible to see anything besides Pam in PvE events because of how good she was.

I searched too long for this comment. Pam was a beast before the rework. Her projectiles would hit every point in the hitzone, no matter where you stand

There once was a time when ruffs had almost no unload delay so you could just spam 3 shots to kill most brawlers instantly

Colonel Ruffs (back then when his name was that) was actually an A tier brawler, especially his crazy fast unload speed which he had. Plus, people didn't know how to properly counter him

Some takes I wanna give are. Bea in A tier, she had a starpower which let her live on 1hp instead of dying and this worked everytime she respawned for one time( way to broken got nerfed very quickly). Belle B tier, she had more range than Piper on release. Crow at least B or even A as there was a time in beta where his damage was way too high and I think that you underestimated how good the slow gadget was/is and forgot how broken his shield gadget was on release giving him over 7000 hp.

Bea should be at the top, the old honey coat gave a protection against death EVERY time you respawned in 3v3, it absolutely broke tye game

Brawlers I feel like Kairos should change: Bo - Bo had two different bugs. The more recent one allowed him to place down infinite mines. But the more broken one, in my opinion, was the bug with the extra explosion range, exclusively on Bo’s “Underworld Bo” and “Horus Bo” skins. Crow - At some point, according to a KZread video I watched, Crow had a bug where his poison would stack (similar to Byron) on his “Captain Crow” skin. Gene - Upon release, Gene’s super used to crash the game whenever he used it. Ruffs - Upon release, Ruffs used to unload his ammo lightning fast (similar to how fast Mortis unloads when dashing into a wall right now.) Surge - Surge’s “To the Max” star power used to split at max range even when an enemy is not hit. (I think this would be a good start into buffing Bonnie’s “Wisdom Tooth” star power.) Willow - Similar to Gene, Willow’s super used to crash the game when you hit an enemy with it.

I agree with this statement.

I think these brawlers’ placement may need to change -jessie used to deal insane amount of damage -bo’s tripwire gadget with no delay -bea’s second gadget first released -gale’s first star power once were change to 1.5s which was too overpowered -gene used to only require 3 hit to get a super which were very overpowered -mr p’s second gadget first released -eve’s second star power didn’t need to wait

Finally some good content again. But one thing i would really like in this video is the old footage from gameplay like when u talking about 8-bit you also show it. It would be better for people who didn't play it at the time but soooo more nostalgic. Good video, keep it going!

No way Kairos did not put Colette in F tier. Supercell had to give her 8 emergency buffs right after her release

Jessie was really strong when she got a huge damage buff in 2020 I think and colt was really strong when he got that projectile width buff so it was easy to hit his shots

Jessie was the best brawler by far when her bounces got nerfed and her damage buffed like crazy

Shelley's Band-Aid could also contribute to her brokenness, and Mortis was insane when Brawl Ball required no ammo to shoot the ball. And when his star power released you could even dribble with your super to shoot the ball + coiled snake to reach it Crow's Gadget which was a much stronger shield should probably also contribute to his brokenness, but C is probably alright Nita with her stun + the bear attack speed up star power was also insane, and not only in shredding safes

17:43 Actually, Hank had a damage scaling glitch that applied to every damage modifier applied to Hank. So if you had a team comp of Hank, Ruffs, and 8-Bit with Boosted Booster, you could deal over 10000 damage with one attack. How it worked is that the damage was calculated with the modifiers, then the modifiers were calculated again, making for some exponential results.

Ruffs has always been consistently in the top 20. He was also very good on release when you could rapid fire his attack

Barley was the best brawler in the game usable everywhere when he got a range buff Bo tripwire was also busted for quite a while, it broke the game Surge was also broken on release for like a month straight Bea was sooo broken when that rattled hive was released, she was used everywhere and u cud kill everyone on the map witha click of a button.

Shelly definitely deserves S tier. When she first got Band Aid as a star power it would charge like every five seconds and give her half her health back. She was legit the only brawler played at high level showdown a few years ago.

Well there are more brawlers now but still she dominated them. I agree with her being S tier but not the old version. I think the very fast movement speed Shelly is S tier.

Willow in D, she litterally crashed the game with her super, isn't crashing a game breaking a game

Makes sense Jacky was in A Tier. I experience both the release of Jacky and Jacky's Rework. Both were so strong she got emergency nerfed twice. I still main her to this day and i will never forget those days. There were my most fun times.

Surge in D tier? He was so strong when his star power even without touching walls could spread out. This brawler was just insane.

At the release , surge was a nightmare with his first star power and the tp gadget. Also after his rework in april 2022 he went broken for a short period of time, cycling his super too fast

Nah, i prefer new brawlers being very strong and fun to play. The problem is that they tend to nerf them way too hard like hank. Why would anyone want a new brawler to be weak?

You forgot about Frank. When Frank came out his range was 25% longer, so he was destroying everyone they had to nerf his range to 75% because it was so broken. I agree Rosa was the most completely broken one on release

If I remember correctly, Frank was not good on release, so they buffed range of his attack, which was very broken

Why is no one talking of Gene? The super of Gene was so broken it threw your whole game out, not only for you, but for your enemies and also for your teammates.

I remember back when Sandy was newest and I was like a 5-10k trophy player, I pushed Sandy to rank 20 in 1-2 hours cause of how good Sandy damage super was

I have never forgotten when Gale, Surge, and Mr.P was an unstoppable team. Good times.

Shelly should definitely be in S tier! Yes she was broken recently, but she was the destroyer of the world while her 2nd Star Power Band Aid just released, it basically healed all her health which allowed her to wreck everything in Solo Showdown (Yes we treated Showdown a lot more seriously than nowadays). Back then trophies were harder to push and we only had lv.20 max, but I still pushed my Shelly to 900 trophies without too much hassle 😂

There were less brawlers that time so her recent was definitely her peak. She dominated the other 68 brawlers. Even her counters barely win against her. She was dominating every game mode.

Barley also had a range buff at one point where he was played basically everywhere in competitive being a strong pick basically everywhere Maybe not gamebreaking but one of the strongest brawlers

Colt as one of the worst is a crime rn he’s the only brawler you can use in takedown, and with silver bullet at its prime was so broken

How did Kairos forget that Gene was the only brawler ever THAT KICKED YOU OUT OF THE GAME BECAUSE OF HIS SUPER. THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF S TIER

When there were not that much Brawlers there was a time where Emz was straight up broken in specific trophy ranges. Besides that Surge may have been one of the most op brawlers ever on release.

I wish there was a game mode once in a while where you could play every brawler in their prime

u forgot some things Colt was insanely broken when silver bullet was released, easy A tier Barley once got his range buffed, was the best brawler on the game for a while and nerfed right after Surge was insane on release, easy S tier Belle on release had more range than Piper or any sniper on the game

I love how Kairos put Nita in F tier because he couldn't play when she was broken 💀

Fang used to recharge his super from anything he killed(pets, turrets) making him 1v3 or easily 1v2 some teams for 2 months -high B or A

I just remember the summer where second star powers were released and Bandaid Shelly was literally everywhere, especially in showdowns. It was a MESS on release

some of my considerations Jessie, remember when they made her attacks deal like 1.5k? It made her one of the best brawlers in the game. Colt's Silver Bullet was way too broken, not F tier at least. Nita should be at least C tier. When her first gadget was released, it activated instantly with no counterplay. She was picked a lot in a monthly final. Emz, again when gadgets were first released, the radius of her first gadget was brutal. This made her an easy top 5 brawler at the time. The meta revolved around Bea, Emz, Sprout, and the pocket poco double tank. Emz filled a really broken spot by countering tanks while also being a mid like Sprout to counter Bea. She was a really good mid too, at least D tier. Bo's gadget activated the mines instantly, making it essential in Gem Grab. Literally, you could not walk on a vital area of the map without using the super, and the mines stayed there all the time. Bo deserves at least B tier. Surge, when he was first released, the star power made his shots unavoidable at level 4 and pretty annoying to deal with on many competitive maps at the time. The games revolved around which Surge could upgrade first. C or B tier. Ruffs, honestly should be at least D tier with his unload speed, you played it like a semi assasin, no medium range brawler survived to that burst damage Amber, Meg, and Grom being in the same tier as Sandy, RT Penny, and others just doesn't feel right. A tier for them seems good. Mortis in A tier seems overrated. Also, remember when kicking the ball in Brawl Ball didn't waste a shot? But C tier seems good. Stu, just a fun reminder of the Bibi vs Stu matchup in those times. It was extremely funny. Long live Poco and Rosa.

I don't know if y'all remember but Bea's 1HP Star Power used to be once per RESPAWN before being nerfed to once per match like 8-Bit's Extra Life (I thought extra life was also per respawn but after some research I found out it was just my memory playing with me)

I like how in 2019 rosa was released with this 80% shield and was litteraly the strongest brawler in the game and 4 years later cr makes the evo knight a 80% shield 💀 like bro you didn't see what happend to bs 4 years ago ?

I definitely experienced it... both as him and against him... I'm having flashbacks now. Combined with his super charging in 1 hit, if you were next to a Stu, you were just stunlocked. Oh, the memories. It was so much fun playing as Stu, but it was a nightmare fighting against him.

Looks great! The one thing I don’t agree with is on fangs release, he could chain supers like nobody’s business because his super did way more damage and charged off of spawners.

The even more insane thing with Rosa is that she released wayyy back and is a rare brawler so almost everyone had her. It truly was the first brawl stars apocalypse

I remember winning a PSG challenge the week after gadgets first released because I got Nita's stun gadget from a box. The instant stun gadget back then was absurd!

Supercell should give brawlers all of their buffs back for 1 day for april fools

Some things that I remember from older Brawl Stars: - El Primo was insanely good, back when mechanics were really just attack, move and super - I don’t remember Shelly being extremely bad, but without the speed, she wasn’t great in any mode outside of showdown - Piper on release felt like a better Mandy. No one could rival her range at that point and generally it felt like sometimes she was shooting you from off the map - Old Darryl on island invasion was hilarious - Tap to move made my soul die a bit more each time I opened brawl stars

Sprout was so fun to play with in brawl ball when he was released. The wall extension made it impossible for brawlers to save a goal upon spawning

I would put Shelly higher not only because of her 'very fast' meta, but also when band-aid would heal full health
