Almost every Bruneian is proud of the Sultan as he is not just a ceremonial head of the state but an active administrator of the country. He is seen as a saviour, father figure by many Bruneians. The sultan has inherited the wealth and the land is naturally blessed with oil, so he enjoys it and we don't see many so called rich countries ready to offer free education, health care to its citizens and impose 0% income tax. For those who think that oil resources are limited, Brunei has heavily invested in real estate, other business worldwide, education and in technology to sustain growth despite depletion of oil and natural resources.

People always talk about his lifestyle, his house, his wealth, how many cars he owned, and always mock him because of the money he earns. But rarely people talk about charity he does. Every year in a specific month, he will do charity to underprivilaged people, $1000 per person, usually to 20,000 people. You can search this in Brunei newspaper. To sum it all up, that is around BND 20 million (approx USD15mil). During Ramadhan, people of Brunei will come to his palace for 14days to pray, taraweeh. Each night limited to 10,000 civilians, plus around 1000 goverment workers. Each will be given BND 10 per person. Sum all up for 14 days will be, BND 1.5 million (USD 1.12Mil). Before it was unlimited and can reach up to more than 50,000 visitors a night for 30 days straight and can reach an amount of BND 15 million in one month. During festive season (Hari Raya Aidilfitri), he will invite everyone, citizens or foreigner to his palace. This will be happening for 4 days straight, morning and afternoon session. Each day there will be more than 20,000 visitor coming. Children below 12 years of age will be given BND 5. Half of the visitors are people below 12 years of age, approx in 4 days, he give BND 200,000 to children (USD 150,000). The sultan spend his own money to cater a newborn child in Brunei with free diapers for one year. In one year birth rate of Brunei produces approx around 6000 newborn. Each newborn will receive 4 pack of diapers per month, 1 pack would cost BND 10. Times is by 6000 newborn for 4 packs for 12 months will be BND 2.88 million a year. For point 1,2 and 3 is happening in 2 months span. In just 2 months, the Sultan share his wealth up to BND 21.7 million (approx USD 17 million). His charity will be much more if i add in his another charity of Aidiladha an other charity event, and i am only counting the dollar and not including the foods and drink the sultan is providing during the events. And this is all an annual event.

If the king within his own country brunei, the sultan likes to do “lawatan tanpa jadual”? Try to translate world🤭 . Any problem occur in the country, the leader will not just seat but he real did surprised visit to inspect the problem those area is much respectful trillion times better than any world leader carried out their role as the head of the state.

And what is most important...... they drive on the left
