Glad this video was here, just made the fix today with my Clearaudio Virtuoso, and it worked perfectly. Thank you for the informative fix!

Tried it on my 1970s Sony stereo turntable that had the OG stylus still on and I basically did it with one of those universal cheap crossley stylus and it did work now my turntable sounds pretty good Thank You

Does this improve the sound of the cartridge or purely aesthetic? Just seems like you're adding mass which I think increases compliance. Am I wrong?

I would also like to know this. Is there an improvement in sound when the stylus is placed in the virtuoso body or is is it just as nice when u replace the virtuoso element for the at-vm95sh element instead of only the needle? They seem to be about the same weight.

Would this method work for clear audio virtuoso?

Absolutely. It perfectly fits it. You can use a VM95ML or SH for better performance.

I used AT-95SH from Lp Gear and cut it to fit my clearaudio cart. Amazing transformation 😍

How about modification to fit Bang & Olufsen cartridge ? Would love to see that . Anybody ? : )
