my mind immediately went to "why not doing this in photoshop?" but I'm very glad that there are people out there that really value this practical and artistic way of working. Great insight!

amazing job, easily my favorite album cover of all time. finding pictures from the shoot on pinterest is what introduced me to weyes blood. i remember seeing one the pics where natalie has the phone in her hand and being completely baffled how she was able to use it underwater lol now i know. i’m so happy you posted the process this was incredibly interesting.

This is almost exactly what my version of “counting sheep” is. Imagining my bedroom is underwater is extremely calming to me and seeing a real life version of it is so surreal.

The still of Natalie Laura Mering holding the curtains as the light is pouring in is breathtaking. Wonderful photography and cinematography. 🌸 I cannot imagine how much patience Brett and their crew are hosts to.

I thought most of this was going to be a photoshop tutorial. This is super high effort. You're all amazing!

As breathtaking as the album itself.

The cover was genuinely the reason i gave the album a go and fell in love with it that’s how amazing it is .

Great work, digging the 80s-90s bedroom. It almost looks like a shot from a nostalgic dream.

What I love about art is how when people get involved into the process with the author they start speaking "the same language". The way you started relating to the vibe the album wanted to portray and how you gave its own interpretation is simply amazing. It can happen in any type of media, when the editor and writer team up, when a composer and instrumentalist do it as well, and in this case, you and Natalie. It puts in perspective how much work goes only on the cover, and makes me appreciate much more. Again, I loved the staff's and your work Brett, as much as i did with the album!

Really cool seeing the process of how everything came together. Titanic Rising was my favorite album from 2019 and the album cover is up there with some of the greatest album covers of all time in my opinion. Fantastic work and loved seeing all of the other shots that didn't get used. I imagine it must have been difficult for them to decide which ones to use!
