Actually, the real dodo is made of a particular type of plantain called agbagba. The taste is superb compared to the banana dodo. They adopted the use of banana to curb wastage of banana. The type of banana used is the type we really don't like eating so they thought of using it for dodo n hence the acceptance.

Please Ma'am. I appreciate Your efforts because this is one of My favourite local snack. I used to visit a relative in ikire with my parents way back and the dodo ikire i know is made from A certain specie of plantain (ogede agbagba) and fried in palm oil. My late grandma also do make it with palm oil. Have they changed the recipe over time or the end product just have that palm oil taste? Thank You

@@Ojuolape_space The last time I tried making dodo Ikire at how to surprise my wife who is from osun a ibile treat. I ended up with a burnt scrambled dodo🤭. Now I'm thinking maybe if I blend the overripe bananas into a paste, thicken the banana paste with rice flour+corn starch maybe it would give a better result of dodo Ikire before I add chilli flakes. What do you think
