Legends Mikto were weird. A preislamic Arabic Pantheon religion that used Magic Eightballs, very stoic, not very bright, and with pheromone communications as an option. Very strange.

So there essentially the opposite in terms of development to the Mandalorians. Both are warrior races, but over the years the Mandalorians learned to be less brutal, have more self-control, and actually have some honor, were as the Nikto seemed to have only become more brutal over the years.

It's probably due to them having opposite fates; Mandalorians, for good or ill, have almost always been more or less free and in control of their destiny, and therefore could chart a path of their choosing; meanwhile, for over 25 millenia the Nikto had their path forcibly chosen for them by their callous overlords, and so had little choice in how they adapted to the situation - either try to resist and slide down the Hutt thrall hierarchy until almost-extinction like the Evocii, or obey and become the violent soldiers/thugs the Hutts want the Nikto to be for their own ends and find at least some measure of prosperity and protection.

Say, Geetsly's, any plans in doing a video about, uh, Star Wars swears? That way, we can either ban them on Multiversal language allowances or just use them to replace some harsher swears at certain times and universes (the same as you use the C-word casually, while the Americans use the double-syllable W-word in a similar fashion). Case in point, "frak" from the Star Wars Legends universe and the Battlestar Galactica universes.

Lmao at how ppl wanna be this pedantic but are still wrong in a sense. Yes it is a cultural problem, but NOT the Nikto's. The ramifications of being a literal slave race for actual millenia, (something that has never occurred on earth on *that* scale/timeframe) means their own culture was likely twisted and erased, broken down and reformed in the Hutt's image on a scale humans can barely imagine So you're right it *IS* a cultural issue, but it's Hutts who must be blamed. God knows how the Nikto mightve ended up if they werent discovered, liberated in a v uncreative "slug saviour narrative", commodified and then groomed to be so much more violent than life on a 40k Deathworld had already made them by necessity Few parrallels to the Buffalo Soldiers of the U.S's own genocidal past ;)

The Nikto kind of remind me of the Krogan of Mass Effect and the Catachan Jungle Fighters of the Imperium of Man from Warhammer 40,000. All 3 of them came from worlds where conflict, danger, and death were a constant thing. Being irritated reminded me of the Krogan Homeworld, the only difference was the Krogan did it themselves. While the Nikto Homeworld was irradiated by its home star. And the Catachan Fighters homeworld was labeled a "Death World." Short answer, living on that world is a death sentence.

I guess the alien races with warrior culture that acted very aggressive and very cruel are the reasons why Count Dooku referred to them as "subhumans" in the first place. Of course, not all aliens are like that. But I cannot even be able to stand to some of their ways of doing things, esepcially if they're too culturally aggressive and cruel.

I love Nikto looks wise, though in FFG's RPG system for Star Wars they're objectively inferior at their main job to Klatooinians who are one of the BEST races to choose if you want to go for a combat focus. The Vodran are also kinda weird and feel a little redundant, they're also Legends EU only. Actually scratch that they're in the Disneycanon too. But still just background fodder. They're actually somewhat important in the "Join the Resistance" junior novels. You know the ones by Acker and Blacker those authors who made farting a key plotpoint. I'd almost rather have remained Legends exclusive before getting written by those hacks!
