How the New Testament influenced Rabbinic Traditions. | Part 1 | Case for Messiah

In this episode of Case for Messiah, we explore the profound influence of Yeshua (Jesus) and the New Testament on rabbinic Judaism. Throughout this conversation, we highlight three key ways in which this influence is evident: the reading of the weekly haftarah (prophetic portion), the development of oral law, and the Aramaic translation of the Torah.
A striking revelation emerges as the absence of certain key passages from the prophets in synagogue readings-passages that hold significant importance in the New Testament for identifying Yeshua as the Messiah, is discussed. This deliberate omission or alteration suggests a nuanced relationship between Judaism and Christianity, prompting deeper reflection on shared theological heritage.

It has been 2000 years and the Rabbis are still afraid of Yeshua, as well as in denighal over Him. Father God, thank You for Your Blessings and Provisions, thank You for Yeshua❣️ Yah, I pray to You that Israel's eyes would be opened to the Truth, that there could not denigh what they hear of Yeshua, and that their lips would profess His Blessings and Love, Amen❣️

Oh this is so incredible. It answers the question why so many important passages are ignored in the haftarah readings. In another video you mentioned the Passover Haggadah was also influenced by Yeshua, if not copied from his last supper. Thank you for bringing this information to light! Yehovah bless.

The term Rabbi , Rabboni appears in Matthew and John respectively Flavius Josephus didn't use the term Philo Alexandrinus the same , The Dead Sea Scrolls community used a different term so we can say that the NT is the only historical document as source for the use of the term Rabbi Rabboni during Second Temple

I am Jewish. When I was a child I learned that the practice of reading the Haftorah started during the Hanukkah story. Only the reading of the First Five Books (Torah in its most literal sense) was forbidden by the foreign oppressors so they read from the Neviim (Prophets).

Then in the Jewish prayer book (Machzor for Rosh Hashanah), there’s a passage that was recently removed that says “Yeshua Sar HaPanim” and mentions Elijah and Enoch all in the same sentence. The 3 who never died. Look it up, it’s interesting. Then in Yoma 39b in the Talmud, they record that 40 years before the temple was destroyed (30 a.d.), when Yeshua was crucified, God started rejecting their atonement for sin. There’s more but those are just to name a few.

(Deuteronomy 28:10-30:20) Yeshiyahu, "Isaiah" 61:10-62:9, is the traditional reading for the Bridegroom. Matthew 11:28-30. "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Am Yisrael chai, Baruch haba b'shem Adonai! (Matthew 23:39) Be well and be Blessed! A fellow sojourner

Camille, Do you believe this play? Don't pretend you don't know that, Why don't you look for Yasser Eric, a video that exposes his lie Or do you know that it is a false play? Do You want to insult the religion of Islam? Although you know that Islam religion is the truth, Read Quran 60:8,9 Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: Qur’an 60 8,9 "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly."8 "Allah only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion - [forbids] that you make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers."9 What is the difference between verse 8 and 9 verse 8 We have peace with unbeliever like our parents , we must have good treatment with them, But verse 9 we must not love them, otherwise Allâh put us in the Hell with them. Why you hate Islam, Why We don't live in peace together? No one insult the other? Thank you

Judaism has nothing to do with Christ. It was the religion of the Pharisees and Sadducees. The religion God established through Moses is _Torahism_ . The Torah is what pointed to Christ, not Judaism. Ppl see "Judaism" and automatically assume it was the religion of the "OT" because they falsely believe that all Israelites are Jews. That is not the case. It's like believing all Americans are Texans.

Did the water used by Jesus to clean the disciples feet contain the ashes of a red heifer? I've read recently about the importance of them mixed in water and used for ritual cleansing. Would the disciples have needed this done to make them clean for their future ministry or because of their close proximity to Jesus, who would become unclean from our sin placed on him at his death? When did he take on our sin? I praise God for allowing him to do so.

As Jesus was proclaiming these things so also were the Apostles. Remember too that Paul being a Pharisee would have also influenced the Mishnah which was composed about 200 years or so after his death but several of the authors knew him or of him and his preaching. These portions had power in their eyes for they were fearful of Christ and they were equally fearful of the apostles just as modern day rabbis are fearful of proselytes. Its the reason Steven was imprisoned stoned to death. They heard him preaching the very things Christ had and many miracles followed. Those witnesses- Sanhedrin and Pharisees would want to eliminate the oral reading that led people away from their traditions. Worship of tradition rather than God is very dangerous. Pray for all of the nations to hear those scripture portions and be pointed to Salvation.
