How the narcissist will affect you | JOE NAVARRO

You may think you know what Narcissism is, but how does it really manifest? Joe Navarro, former FBI Agent and author of "Dangerous Personalities" takes a look at the behavioral traits of these individuals that will victimize you emotionally, mentally, physically, or financially. You either know a Narcissist, you live with one, or you will work with one, many times in your life. Take a look to understand the traits and see what the long-term consequences are.

I had to pay about $4600.00 in legal fees to defend myself from a malignant narcissist female stalker, who I had turned in to the authorities for selling prescription pills at a senior center. After she got out of jail she began stalking me online and showing up at places where she knew I went. My friends even told me she'd been there at these places after I had left. I eventually had to hire a lawyer to confront her in civil court. Because she began showing up at my place of employment. He told her i wanted nothing to do with her. She "went ballistic" in court. But we all know how much good lawyers cost. It was well worth the money. Now I have that lawyer. I looked her up in the court database by doing a name search, she had several aliases too. I found that she's just gotten out of prison previous to this. As well as having several other civil cases recently that involved some kind of civil violence. So I was just one of many. I really hate that she isn't still locked up. By reading your book and other books I have bought that you wrote, I could see how dangerous these people are. But who would have thought that I'd have met one at a senior center in a crochet group.

What you are undergoing I have heard many time by people who lived with a narcissist. They drain you emotionally and mentally and they leave you desperate for clarity but it seems like life is a fog. In time you will heal. If you can get some professional help from a clinician they can with a few visits help you to understand. I wish you well.

Thanks for the videos. There’s something about the way you speak about narcissists that just really gets to the heart of things. I’m sure it comes from your years of experience. I felt the same way with your book, Dangerous Personalities. Which I’ve already read twice already. I’m starting to feel like it’s time to give it another go. Thank you for helping me, and everyone, to recognize these types of people.

So happy to get another video joe sir.One of narcissist person in my life is my brother,he is younger than me and am older one and yet he thinks that he is one and only right person and whatever he do is okay and good and about me he thinks that just because am girl ..he thinks that i can't drive or i can't do anything well .. even i showed and proved that am one who studied well cuz i love studying and am the one who graduated first and i also learn driving well just to prove him but still he such a narciccist person in himself he just wanna stay at the top and make others feel bad.But god always prove him wrong and showed him that god is with my side.I notice one of characteristics of narcissist person is that also that they think girls or womens are interior and they are superior. But women never make any man feel inferior. For me both are equal. So yes it is true that narciccist person can hurt you in such a way that we can never forget what they did to us.

Love this thank you for another video ! Do you already have your videos planned out ? Do you take requests ? Because I would like to know , how do you stop doubting yourself and start trusting your instincts and how do you then deal with the narcissist if you have to deal with him. Not everything a narcissist does is with bad intentions is it ? And another thing I am curious about is , when does one have narcissistic traits but doesn’t have narcissistic personality disorder?

  • @joenavarrobehaviorexpert

That's a great question way beyond my expertise skill and knowledge, but one thing I have noticed is that narcissistic personalities tend to avoid other highly narcissistic personalities because they take away from them and in personal relationships. They certainly don't want someone they cannot dominate.
