How the MCAT Tests: Galvanic/Electrolytic Cells, Physics EMR properties, and the Doppler effect

Join in on John and Maggie's discussion of high yield topics from the Chemistry/Physics chapter 3 of our program. Today, we're going to specifically cover how the MCAT tests Electrochemical cells, the doppler effect, and some common light wave equations like E = hf and v = f*lambda.
If you're not part of our MCAT program, welcome! Regardless of how you study, these topics are highly represented on the MCAT and you will benefit from seeing how they are commonly tested.

As a non science background non trad, these high yield topics are saviors! I like the way you use the actual question.

I'm glad you find them helpful! We were moving away from those videos but if enough people find them helpful, it may be worth going through all the high-yield topics like this🤔

do Not underestimate the chart/graph for the photoelectric effect. I had a real question (that I embarrassingly missed do to overthinking) and it simply asked to rank these waves in increasing order (Gamma, xray, UV, IR, etc) EASY points. (understanding the wavelength relationship really hit it home for me) another AMAZING video!

I've been watching you guys' videos for the past month this is my second time taking my MCAT and I have seen a 12-point increase so far! I am hoping to make it 18 points so thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing not to gatekeep your methods and strategies. This test is cruel, unusual, and expensive and I thank you for offering what you guys can. For a while there I really thought I was dumb and about every negative thing I could call myself which really didn't help with the studying or test-taking process but you guys really helped me pull my crap together a belief in myself. Also love the cat inserts lol they really spice up the learning,

Thank for so much for the comment! Teaching pre-meds to unlock their test-taking skills, one by one🥸 Good luck from here on out!

Hi, Love your vids. Can you guys add this to the High Yield playlist? There’s a few other High Yield videos that aren’t on that playlist also.

A straight up units review would be FANTASTIC. I'm ok with a lot of the math, but going through high yield equations and their units would be great ex. Like a J/c = volt so J = V*C .... but it's hard to remember so maybe some base equations that are useful?
