The Disturbing World Of The Incredibles
Ойын-сауық
Does anyone remember The Incredibles (2004)? This animated movie is known as one of the best cartoons of all time. From Disney's Pixar Animation with memorable characters such as Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, Edna Mode, and Syndrome, this film created many memes such as 'Those who know' and 'Where is my super suit'.
ALSO, THIS MOVIE IS VERY DARK. IT'S GREAT FOR KIDS, BUT ALSO AMAZING FOR ADULTS. IT'S HIGHLY RATED AND HAS MANY MATURE THEMES YOU MIGHT LIKE. THE SEQUEL IS GOOD TOO, BUT THE ORIGINAL IS A CLASSIC.

Dive into the extraordinary world of "The Incredibles," a groundbreaking animated film that blurs the lines between superhero action and deep family drama. Directed by Brad Bird and featuring a talented voice cast including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson, this Pixar classic explores darker themes such as societal rejection, the burden of hidden identities, and the cost of greatness. Comparable to films like "Megamind" and "Watchmen," "The Incredibles" not only entertains with its thrilling action and stunning visuals but also provokes thought with its exploration of more serious themes. Join the Parr family as they navigate the challenges of being super in a world that demands normalcy, making "The Incredibles" a standout film that transcends typical animated fare. 🦸♂️🎭 #theincredibles #cartoon #videoessay

@@GLUBNOIRWell with all due respect for your opinion, as Bob says in the first one... Why?
I absolutely loved the movie when I was a kid. I watched it on the regular and even had a casette tape with a narrated version which I annoyed my parents with. To this day, its one of my alltime favourites. And as a child I never quite got the subtle tones - the older I got, the more I realized. The suicide attempt, Helen thinking Bob is cheating, how having a dreadful job and not being able to engage with your passion can destroy a person, depression, PTSD, mass murder, weapons and gruesome deaths semi-visible on screen (e.g the ending). I wish we had more dark movies nowadays - and not just edgy dark movies, movies with heart and story. Like The Incredibles.
Helen calls a pilot friend Snaug for a "solid you owe me" to get that jet. Note the missiles are ignoring the flares. [They use a silhouette targeting system.]

Also the fact the writers have the intro scene and lawsuits take place before Good Samaritan laws were put in place because if they were in place Mr. Incredible and the other heroes couldn’t have been sued for saving people who wound up injured in the process.
I love The Incredibles movies. The first is a Mary Poppins of a movie. As in “practically perfect in every way”. The sequel while not as good as the original was still really good in my opinion.
When it was 2010 and I was a kid I thought “Edna mode” is just a mode for the security system now as a 17 year old I now know Edna full name is Edna mode 💀💀💀💀💀
It seems like the primary upgrade made to the Omnidroid was focused more on the attack measures and maneuverability rather than the armor. It did seem more capable of attacking several targets at once, and was strong enough to shatter Vi's force field just by dropping its weight on it. It also changes direction pretty quickly for its size when it rolls around compared to the Nomanisan Island version.
The Incredibles are honestly a great superhero movie but yeah really dark!

19:10 The improvement was that it is freaking huge. Not only that, it has a laser gun (which definitely doesn’t show signs of being added last minute), detachable limbs, rocket limbs and thicker shell. I have a theory that maybe the change to having more than one battery couldn’t of been done because they were working within a tight budget. Reason being, earlier blueprints of the Omnidroid showed that that model was always meant to shoot powerful lasers specifically out of its eye piece but this is never seen. Also Mirage mentions to Mr. Incredible to keep the machine fairly intact for damage can be costly, after which he has the machine turn itself into Swiss cheese and fall into lava; it’s safe to say that the Omnidroid and all its components were completely destroyed and impossible to salvage in any way. This all clearly would of damaged their budget and may of prevented them from affording multiple other batteries to prevent a relatively small amount of damage from completely de-powering the machine.
I love the Hitman World of Assassination triology footage with the metal pipe sound effect

Rogue IA was a thing 20 years before The Incredibles when Terminator 1 was released in 1984.
17:19 She didn’t switch sides out of nowhere! There was a huge precedent for her to do that. 1: She witnessed Syndrome attempt to murder a whole family with children (having a noticeably negative emotional back-pedal the moment she heard Helen cry “THERE ARE KIDS ON BOARD!”, on the radio, while Syndrome remained apathetic and too hyper fixated on hurting Mr. Incredible) 2: Syndrome had basically let her die when Mr. Incredible grabbed her, despite him being fully capable of saving her. 3: Prior to this scene she voiced her frustrations about Syndrome to Syndrome, arguing, “next time gamble with your own life” (if I can remember that correctly), and forcing her work folders into his arm, which I read as her resignation. SHE HAD CLEARLY ALREADY BEEN PUSHED FAR PAST HER LIMITS PRIOR TO THIS SCENE.
the reason syndrome didnt inprove the omnidroid is because he thought it killed mr. incredible
Jack Jack gets his name from the phrase Jack of all trades, because he has all the powers

to be fair i’m not so sure bob and helen really identify with their fake identities. It makes sense their children have normal names but also ones that correspond to their super powers, but the parents REAL identities are Mr Incredible and Elastigirl. This can’t be confirmed because we know nothing of the parents in terms of their backgrounds or if they have other family. The kids were never super hero’s before the events of the movie though so they really do identify as normal kids. Idk Bob and Helen just give off those “we need to be seen as normal so let’s choose normal names” vibes.

i understand this video is supposed to condense the movies' plot into 20 minutes, but in my opinion, if you're going to title the video "The Disturbing World of The Incredibles", it would be much more respectable to actually delve into the dark moments that happen in the film. this video is 95% a hyperactive and over-edited plot summary of a film that has so much depth and detail poured in. and i understand that a lot of context needs to be provided to explain why certain scenes might be so dark. however, it would help to give the video focus, and give the audience something to think about to actually discuss the dark events of the movie - rather than briefly glossing over them and moving on. there's little payoff to the information in this video because it's trying so hard to move from the next segment without allowing the audience any time to process or think about what you're trying to say. you can actually give gravity to these moments by taking a second and pausing, to give revelations in your script time to resonate in the audiences mind, and to make the video memorable and more than a hollow summary. i respect the effort that went into this video. having a lot of clips and edited-in content is difficult to do. however, i think creating content that has a bit more focus on one subject, and has a message for its viewers would make your content not only more memorable, but rewatchable. food for thought.

Appreciate the criticism! I get where you’re coming from and it’s nothing I haven’t heard about before. There’s a lot that goes into a video like this. Between the scripting, filming, editing, and marketing, I barely have time to upload one video a week. I understand it can seem very surface level, and you’d probably want me to dive deeper into a hyper specific subject, but by the time this video is up, I’m already working on the next one. I just don’t have time to do that much research, so I’ve opted for general summaries for entertainment! Also, the over-edited style is something I’ve adapted to get past the copyright claims and strikes that usually come with Film & TV content! Otherwise, these videos can’t exist on the platform; I get that criticism a lot also! At the end of the day, it’s different types of content for different types of people.
