Love the vid's! There's a whole discipline called Manufacturing Engineering devoted to making machines that make things. Friend of mine from university said that one of the hardest parts is the vibratory table - take a basket of 'things' in random position (screws, bolts, etc.) and vibrate them in a way that they end up in the position you need them to be in so they can be picked up and used.. and reject any that are in the wrong orientation. They said - that making these is very much an art not a science.
