I'm actually seriously wondering... honest! Do you make just one kind or many different types? Do designers like Gucci or Halston or Fendi even design buttons? Someone or some corp. surely must design all the buttons in the world... I assume they are mass produced? I've honestly never thought this deeply about such a ubiquitous item. (Zero sarcasm!!)

@@mikecrawford2063 We do make different types of buttons, but they're just plastic ones, different sizes. And Idk if we make all the buttons in the U.S but the company is called U.S Button. Also how it's done is we have this material (not sure what it is) but we call them pills because they look like pills without any inscription on them. Then we have this metal loading tray with holes the same size as the pills. Then we pile the pills on the tray and shake it until the pills fill the holes. Next we have a press, where we put the tray in it and then release the pills and make sure they're on cavity because if they're not then Buttons and mold get stuck in it and it sucks scraping it out. But we close the press and do the same thing over again with the trays and so on. The press has a time limit so we have to be fast and efficient cause were supposed to do a certain amount in a certain amount of time. But then when the press starts coming down we catch them with another tray and out it in a barrel. And that's how buttons are made.

The invention of button is really a tremedous advancement in human civilization. The decoration of button can often improve fashion level for clothes. However, as a normal person, feeling comfortable is more important than it seems. It is not a good design to attch button on the back of clothes, people will feel unconfortable when leaning on backrest. Do you think so?

fair enough. But for about 10 years, the shirts and pants produced in china no longer last 2 years! i have old t-shirts that are already 30 years old and still all the seams and buttons are intact. if you buy a piece of clothing today, whether pants, shirt or t-shirt, the fabric usually lasts only 1 year. the fabric is worn through and gets holes. the seams tear after only a few weeks. what a waste, what environmental pollution. thank you fashion industry! thank you china.

Buttons make clothing look ugly... nauseatingly so. Buttoned shirts are the worst. I don't get what people like about them. Ugly little lumps of plastic or whatever poking through... it's like having warts Yeah, some are "ornate" or "decorative", but who really wants a row of those clunky pointless things dangling on your clothing. Embarrassing. I hate buttons.
