@@PlonkyTonks They haven't played Finals footy in 10 years and don't have many players with Finals experience either. The likes of Geelong, Western Bulldogs, Greater Western Sydney Giants and Sydney would have an absolute field day or night with them. Adelaide and Essendon would be the only teams they could defeat in an Elimination Final.

@@taliamason7986 I've got news for you Talia. A final is no different to any other game, you have to tick all the same boxes to win one. Plenty of teams with little to no finals experience have done well in the finals over the years, ultimately it comes down to who wants it the most, and arguably a long finals drought could provide plenty of motivation.

This game had more to do with Carlton then it had to do with Collingwood. Pies are flag favourites while the blues are on a different path to finding some finals success. Was a great game from the blue boys. I hate the pies but I do respect their hustle.

You have to score more points than Collingwood to beat them.

Pies will learn from it. Probably time for big mason to step off the field for a bit. Players need to be more accountable. Teams tend to get very complacent when they're on top for most of the year. Big weekend of upsets so Pies aren't the only ones.

mason cox has a couple good games of footy under his belt, but should not be in the top 18 of this collingwood side if they want to win the flag. playing cox over players like billy frampton or ash johnson is an absolute kick in the shins for the team.

Carlton could've said exactly the same thing when Collingwood beat them in Round 23 last season to deny them a finals berth. The team that scores more points when the final siren sounds wins, not the team that would have been in front if they'd kicked more accurately.

Lol they dont realize travel the week before to port adelaide and winning in the rain had major toll on this loss lol

Collingwood didn’t kick straight and missed crucial shots at goal too. Carlton played well though but they won’t win the flag

Collingwood weren't mentally prepared for a Carlton team that hasn't played that well since 2001.

Ask the Question - Where were the Collingwood Players most of the night. Carlton were allowed to roam on their own too much.

Well the demons already showed how to beat the pies but yeah this is how you beat the pies.

Amazing thing is it's happened a couple of time to Collingwood and they've still won. Most of the year the Pies opponents have been inaccurate.

There forward 50 pressure wasn’t good, Collingwood made stupid errors and mistakes when kicking it. Pretty obvious

The problem is Moore not Curnow. If you have a superior athlete in Curnow then you need to call for more assistance, rather than grab and obstruct at every opportunity. Moore will learn as a leader about asking for help

Moore can't play one out. If you grab the guy in a headlock it usually ends in a free kick. Moore was spooked and couldn't handle the pressure.

Carlton are pretenders. The last few wins are putting paper over the cracks. Mediocre team that best port who had half the team out and Collingwood who had the umpires against them and couldn't kick straight

Port had Dixon, Horne Francis and Willie Rioli out 😂😂. Horne Francis barely does anything these days, Rioli and Dixon will make like a 3 goal difference, blues won by 50 points. Also the blues had a few big outs as well, and we were missing Mckay, Walsh and Kennedy against Collingwood, they just had Bobby Hill out. Blues also dominated most of the game against the pies, so to say that the pies lost because of inaccuracy is ridiculous. And even if you want to say that, the blues had more shots on goal in the first game that the blues and pies played earlier in the year.
