"I fear no man who practiced 1000 kicks one time, i fear the man who practice 1 kick a 1000 times." - Bruce Lee forecasting TanuKID back in the 70s -
This is beautiful man :') Jin gang rise up and respect!
i have a theory to why he is so good at f4, in japan theres this popular martial art called kendo, this is pretty much fencing but japanese if you want to oversimplify it, i have done it before and it taught me alot about opponent's timing as the only attack i was actually good at was counter attacks (ouji waza) specifically debana men where its pretty much like striking the opponent's helmet before they can initiate their attack. now when i first played tekken this feeling transferred instantly to my gameplay, whenever i feel like the opponent should throw an attack, i throw an f4. it didnt matter if it was blocked, as it was safe and was a good distancing tool too. if the opponent was patient, i'd challenge for a reaction more by being more pressuring while still being in the edge of f4. i like to think hes like me and he has done kendo before. (i actually suck at kendo, i can predict when the opponent will actually strike, and im confident about that, but i never knew how to actually counter it hahahaha, usually debana men worked, but if the opponent expected me to counter his original strike and countered my counter, i was pretty much good as dead)

Still very evident
I vividly remember when you uploaded a bunch of footage of the best Jin players in a 2 part compilation style video when T7 was still very new. I was mesmerized by the different styles and ways the players over there utilized the character to express themselves. One of those that were most expressive and as you said influential with their style was F4Guy. Soooooo many Jin players adapted this style and will have no idea he fathered it largely but it is also somewhat beautiful that way. Whatever he is doing I hope he takes pride in that he helped so many people across the world enjoy and have success with this character. And of course shoutout to you as the global Jin historian you are lol.

Its a solid basis for spacing with Jin, there is no harm in learning the intricancies of what you can do with it when f4 gets blocked, he is a genius at it

@@DamageXcaling I know, but is worth it to follow
This style had been helping me for days now thank you for this video. And I been using Jin’s new df2,df just like the f4 but it’s hard to get the timing on opponent but I’m still practicing.
I love following this channel for the Tekken history and lore!

@@DamageXcaling I understand this guy had years of experience when to use f4. One thing is sure, he used it as a frame trap. It will take yrs for me. Tysm bro 👍

Never thought to play Jin like this. Interesting
Tanukid is Him. Ps: God I miss f4 hitting grounded so much 😞
Salut to the unspoken goat
I really want to see more of his clips. As i myself used to play like this in t7 But due to the change in meta i shifted towards a bit or agressive playstyle too
this early tekken 7 footage is something else

Not on the same scale, fun fact, namco buffed f4 even further in fr version version H and made it -5 on block, it was crazy 🤣🤣🤣
Damn this is a cool video
f4 pick up combos in tekken 7 were some of the most hypest moments for me as a Jin player. I'll never forget the times I started getting it consistently. Tekken 8 Jin needs to become a specialist character again.
are there more of these videos or is this the first one of this style bc this was great

With one move
My Jin's dash cancel gameplan becomes weak in Tekken 8 where I had enjoyed baiting opponents in Tekken 7.
I still play t7 cuz Jin is so much more fun and it’s rewarding to win
This playstyle is extremely risky to do in Tekken 8 since his recovery got nerfed and F4 is a linear move, remember sidestepping got buffed in Tekken 8. I only use F4 every once in a while, just to catch opponents off guard.

Jin's sidestep used to be worse back then and lets not forget he is doing this against lily who has the best sidestep in the game, if he can do this on lily we can do this on everyone, just don't mindless spam f4, after all that it's just what it looks like, there is a huge brain behind this 🤣

@DamageXcaling You're right. F4 is still an amazing move. Especially now that you can pick up in a comically easy way after a CH. I stand by what I said though. It's better to use it every once in a while.
