Eh, it matters what your looking for in a paper Mario game, it was never supposed to look like a crafted world (Yoshi gets away with this because it WAS supposed to be crafted) I think that’s how SS and CS broke from the series, they tried TOO hard to be paper (I guess they put more emphasis in paper instead of Mario) I do agree TTYDs art style was in my opinion the best, but CS looked more smooth and nicer, that’s what I meant

Agreed. While Bowser and Grodus were intimidating, Super actually gives the villian's personalities. Mimi is very cute, and her spider form is terrifying for a Mario game. O'Chunks is the "dumb assistant", but they actually DO something with him, Count Bleck and Tippi's arcs were beautiful and very mature for a Mario game, and Dimentio is one of the few twist villian's that ACTUALLY WORKS.

This game is really amazing. Don't let this video discourage you from buying it, it has an incredible story, the best out of all mario, no, Nintendo games to date, and it might not be an RPG, but its still incredible.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I know. I have sinned.

Ok, I've been waiting to say this. Super Paper Mario removes the RPG mechanics from the series, so many people consider this game the "downfall" of the series. I disagree. Yes, the game has it's problems, but the good in this game outweigh the bad. This game's story is just as good as TTYD. Maybe even better. Yes, it adds new ideas to a old, perfectly fine concepts. Sunshine, Galaxy, and Odyssey did this, and they ended up being big hits. So adding new additions have sometimes succeeded Sticker Star failed because it feels like a NSMB game, and it's RPG mechanics failed for obvious reasons. And Color Splash was a bit better, but still used the same dumb "limited moves" mechanic. 64 and TTYD focused more on battling then platforming, while Sticker Star and Color Splash focused more on platforming, and had a rushed battle system. But Super stands out for being a full-on platformer (with one exception), with a great story, with only about 15 characters and enemies from regular Mario games. I can see why people don't like it, but I hope people can see the good side in it. It's funny, it's unique, it has a GREAT story involving every main character. While it's not the best Paper Mario game, it's definitely surpasses SS & CS, and maybe better than 64. It's a solid 8/10 experience and a underrated Wii hit.

3:38 Amazing - every word you just said was wrong. One, "sheer speed" doesn't kill you, acceleration does. (Burning up on re-entry as a result of your speed can be a concern, but Luigi's clearly not falling through the entire atmosphere here, only far enough to return to the Overthere.) Second of all, Earth's gravity well extends far, far, far past the atmosphere, so it'd actually be MORE unrealistic for Luigi NOT to fall back down. *TRIGGERED*

"Is it a platformer, an RPG, a dating sim, or a shooter?" it's all, and I love it for that, hehe. Still, would love to hear your opinions about the story though. The climax of the trilogy that gave life to the Mario lore in the most awesome of ways. Hope they get back to that, preferably with the original mechanics.

The gameplay is just kind of lackluster in all regards, especially since's it's trading the heavier rpg elements from the first two games for more platformer heavy elements, only to do platforming pretty mediocre. Say what you will, but I've played 2d, and 3d mario games with infinitely better control and level design.

This was my first (and only as of writing this) Paper Mario game.

Honestly, I *LOVE* this game. I could play this game all day and it never gets old. I could play the Ghost Hunt game in the Arcade for hours. If I could only play one game for the rest of my life, I would choose Super Paper Mario. The plot, the humor, the animations, the dialogue, the hub world, the scenery, I could and probably will play this until I die.

Not gonna lie, this is my favorite Paper Mario. Yes, it had it's problems and it may not be as good as TTYD or 64, but I'll always prefer this game over it. On the other hand though, the next two entries (more Sticker Star than Color Splash) to this specific series is going to be interesting...

When you think about it, undertake has a lot in common with this game, especially the characters, Eg. Silent protagonist who is foretold of in prophecy (Mario/Frisk), Main antagonist who doesn't truly want to kill you and shows mercy in the end (Count Bleck/Asgore), Psycopathic murderer who shows up at the last second and attacks main villain to consume their power, has similar abilities to protagonist (Dimentio/Flowey), Nerdy Lizard who likes cats and anime (Francis/Alphys), Spider girl (Mimi/Muffet). Also, just going to point out that Deltarune's Card Castle looks just like Castle Bleck.

or you can put the hammer dude on Bowser (forgot his name) I ended up buffing up the squad and Bowser ended up doing 50 damage......... 50 DAMAGE

I honestly love this game for what it was, despite it's flaws it's super charming and for the most part really fun

This game IS my childhood. My Dad and I played this game so many times. This is my favorite game of all time. No madder what anyone says that fact will never change.

But it's still a RPG. The only difference is that there is no turn-based combat. But you still level up, use items, have partners and a AWESOME story.

Ah, glad to see that so many of you people enjoyed my performance.

I remember back in the good old days when we said “how something pisses you off” instead of “how something triggers you”. In fact nobody used to say “triggers” to mean that lol. I actually don’t even use it today I don’t really like it and it seems to be used more on the internet and by video game people than in the normal world.

I loved this game... until I got softlocked in the final level. For everyone who's thinking about replaying this: DON'T USE THE WARP PIPE DURING COUNT BLECK'S CASTLE! I ended up rage quitting and I haven't played since :'(

I still remember this game and how fun it was. The first dragon boss and how cool it was
