@@HeimdallMardollNot in this universe adaption. Also take into account it was Odin vs 3 gods (Loki, Freya, and Kratos). Lore wise from this series Kratos would win a good amount of the time but odin could win based off suprise or deseption. The thing that made odin lose in my opinion was his obsession with that damm mask and not focusing enough on dealing with kratos and the battle ahead of him-not soley on avoiding it

Kratos didn’t wanna kill ares for revenge like you stated in the beginning of the video, he actually was just doing what athena and the other gods commanded him to and the only reason he did it was because he was falsely promised to make the nightmares of his family stop

He doesn’t even kill ares in a hateful or over the top way, just pierces him after a one liner, and what do you see after his victory? Just him kneeling down with no real emotion.

To kill you you have to go through several layers of immortality and countless armies of himself, each one of his copies even if weaker, are copies of someone that reached Nirvana, if Kratos had problems against Zeus and Gaia he has no chance, cause Wukong is able to physically pick them with two fingers and squash them like bugs

Yeah, hes just fighting them like fighting normal enemies with large health bar. He wasnt even raging or anything serious and some norse myth fans saying Odin and Thor could solo Kratos based on what literally happend in the game. What literally happend in the game was Kratos holding back not Odin who could delete GOW Verse by reading his spell books😭

Compare his north rage to his Thanatos rage One rage stun and blind and make surrounding red for like 10 meter range this is from north rage Kratos But Ghost of Sparta Kratos rage blinded Thanatos,Burned his own Blade of Chaos chain which is primordial fire And also filled the whole Death domain with Red particle It easy to say which one is more rageful here.

Same way he can suddenly regenerate himself in these new games. He had godly powers all along, just laying dormant and he never tapped into them.

@@BlankEmporium Heimdal is absolutely relevant. He is a High Aesir God. The only ones that can beat him are Odin, Thor, and Maybe Baldur in norse Mythology and probably only heavy hitters in the greek pantheon could beat him like Zues, Posiedon, and Hades. Heimdal may be an asshole but that shouldn't stop you from seeing how strong he truly was.

@@Lukewarm618 What was that Kratos said when asked about Heimdall? "I've killed Gods greater than him." Kratos only killed two Norse Gods by then, and Kratos expression and emphasis implies many. Heimdall is physically weak by God standards. He's only considered powerful by the Norse Gods because of his telepathy which the Sisters of Fate already had in droves as confirmed in 2's novel.

Kratos had to disarm herculese of his nemean gauntlets. And equip them Then only was kratos able to defeat herculese. 1 guess what stat the gaunets of herculese increase? Strwgth. To be clear i doubt kratos could ever be counted as just a mortal even before killing Ares. In certain ancient texts there are references to nephilim. These are hybrid sons of fallen angels. Now since god of war is based in greek mythology im not sure what the equivalent of that would even be or if it even exists in greek mythology at all. Being half god has to come with physiological benefits that put you well above being "just a mortal". Deimos his brother also seemed to be somewhat super powered as well, even after being left to rot in thanatos's realm for however long. For lack of a better term he was superhuman from the very start.

Kratos is a demigod who later becomes a full god he is mortal but with a godly powers then he gets cursed to live forever and not being able to kill himself

people seeing kratos struggle in game is just game mechanics, it'll cost too much for the developers to fully unleash him & even then the game will not be playable or enjoyable as kratos would simply 1-shot everyone

Really enjoyed this one. I’m a huge Kratos fan since I’ve played at least all of the baseline games and enjoyed the story and bossfights. I still don’t think he can beat goku though and I’ve even debated it with my friends who think Kratos automatically wins. Maybe one day though, Kratos V.S. Doomslayer could be a close battle…

Issue with all this, is that it often gets nerfed or retconned depending on the intended plot. SMS struggles with continuity for established lore.

It's also important to mention that mortals in the god of war universe are still somewhat superhuman. So Kratos as a mortal defeating a god is still valid despite having a blood of a god. In the novels, the gods are much more stronger than what is being shown in the games. Kratos as a mortal also fought a fallen concept in his quest to find ambrosia. The story of god of war perfectly fleshed out the idea of a man becoming god. His struggle was realistic and the treasures that made him stronger are well deserved.
