Well, he is. But in comics it means he is a superhuman. Even without serums and other amps a lot of people in comics is basically superhumans. Like Punisher, Hawkeye, Batman and entire Bat-Family

"Peak human" in Marvel and DC comic books is basically a way to say that someone is superhuman but not in the same category as The Hulk or Thor or Spiderman etc... In the peak human category people can lift anywhere between roughly 1000 pounds and 2 tons... 1000 pounds is really quite heavy and anything over that IS superhuman... In 1941 Cap was supposed to be as strong as ten men, assuming these men were young and trained that would be 200 pounds times 10 so Cap could lift around 2000 pounds in his early days which made him superhuman... Although his strength has been augmented in the movies... Batman can currently lift around 1600 pounds with his arms and 2400 pounds with his legs and he supposedly has no super-powers and yet he's "peak human" 🙂 that sounds super-human to me...

There was one time Cap knocked out Namor with a single shield throw to the back of the head, granted he may have been dehydrated but its still FREAKING NAMOR A 100+ TONNER

Cap is actually insane just in terms of his fighting skill and the speed at which he processes information. No mere "peak human" could throw down with Thor and Hulk tiers and live to tell the tale. I think Thor and Hercules have statements saying that Cap is God-level in terms of his skill and tactical genius, which speaks volumes.

Cap is amazing but I noticed his striking power is very high especially with his shield and his combat skills/speed.10 tons of striking power with his shield 5tons without.Wow He was actually just barely able to make the Hulk lean with a kick.

Yeah, Steve is a true badass when it comes to skill, heart, and spirit. This man will never back down from a fight nor give up regardless of whether or not he is outmatched and outgunned. Steve has the heart of a lion and the spirit of a warrior.

@@charlesgorman4919 Same with me. For me I admired spider-man all throughout childhood for his willpower, his bravery, and his persistence. Most notably his "With great power comes great responsibility" that line has always stuck with me ever since growing up. All these other characters like wolverine, captain america, batman, superman, are shining examples of heroes that fight to do the right thing.

Captain America is not a regular supersoldier like say Blonksy who had a weak dose of serum and still recovered in a day from Hulk crushing his body NO! Steve Rodgers was given 6 higher quality doses of serum PLUS was blasted with Vita Rays which greatly augmented his powers and saturated him with nitramene which a single drop can level a couple of city blocks! He cannot be replicated and the closest they got was Hulk which means pound for pound Cap is the successful version of the Hulk! Caps body reacts to the threat level just like Hulks only not chaotic. Only Dr Erkskine knew his abilities. Cap has Superhuman power's , how' else do you guys tgink he can rip Iron Man suit apart and go at it with Ultron and tear his robot's apart bare handed.

So basically captain america is superman if he had batman's skills without powers.

Very Early suits cap can definitely take iron man.. but nano tech suits, bleeding edge suits and liquid metals, hulkbusters(like in my iron man vid)… iron man too much for cap but yea mark 3-5(early suits) iron man armors cap can definitely take tho

Peak human, like DD, Punisher, Hawkeye, Falcon or Bucky (before the Infinity fornula) would pretty much be virtually superhuman in our world (picking grown men up with one arm, breaking chains, running through walls..etc). easiest short answer! being able to match Deathstroke and Captain America in a HIGH DIFFICULTY physical battle and not using hax like mind manipulation and etc. if you going by Comic standards. One of the easier ways is if the character actually has super soldier serum! they're like the poster boys for super soldiers tier. comic humans also have this ability to wear if they train hard enough they can reach super soldiers tiers just from hard work and dedication via training without necessarily having no serum or superpowers. fighting speed you have to be able to casually dodge and react to Bullets, Missiles, lightning! EFFORTLESSLY striking power to be able to punch threw brick walls at least! I'm not a huge fan on Tiering someone based on their gear in comics.. like saying somebody has the power to blow up a building just because they use the rocket launcher to blow it up doesn't really seem fair.. obviously there's exceptions to this like characters where they're literally a part of their gear like Black Panther and iron Man. iron Man's gear obviously has to be counted because that's literally his character... a guy wearing a battle suit. characters like wolverine's gear has to count because you literally can't disarm him his gear because it's in his body aka adamantium claws. not to mention despite him lacking the strength to be up there with Thor and hulk level beings his claws can harm them regardless of how much lower his strength is if you're healing factor is on the level of wolverines you're instantly high-end super soldier tier by default I believe you can be a glass cannon and still be a super soldier tier if you can attack hard. You just have to use your dodging skills a lot more. hopefully this helps a little bit. All this is just my opinion anyway though

When I wrote my role playing game statistics for Captain America I ended up making him able to lift/press 800 lbs. Definitely above human normal, but low end for a superhero.

@@wambokodavid7109 He isn’t indestructible nor is he stronger than Homelander. He’s definitely more durable than Cap by a lot though. Comic Cap has better strength feats than Soldier Boy does. I wasn’t talking about who would beat who in a fight, I was just talking about their attributes. But when it comes to a fight between the 2, MCU Cap would most definitely lose to Soldier Boy, comic Cap has a decent chance of winning because he’s fought and beaten tougher enemies than Soldier Boy before.

Captain America is the most capable man alive. I certain can curve stomp Batman if he wanted to. Of course, it take a very long time.

I used to think Steve and Bruce were a lot more even, but the last few months have really changed my opinion. But the truth is that Marvel's "street tier" characters are simply better than DC's, considering the majority of Marvel's "street tiers" have super powers and DC's don't.

I'll give you a Captain America gets humbled moment... In an Avengers comic from early 80's Captain America is feeling like he's the weak spot on the team. He is using all his strength to shoulder press a barbell full of weight (not shown how much). The Scarlett Witch asks him why he is pushing himself so hard? He explains he's feeling insecure. The Beast enters the gym and asks if he could use the weight Cap is using, then picks it up easily with one hand and walks away whistling as he carries it with one hand making Cap feel worse about his lack of superpowers. Maybe Hank McCoy's best moment.

If Cap was pressing 1000K then yes Beast would play with that weight with one hand. In last several years, Cap always seems to be almost in range of anyone superstrong of late. You don't get the feeling Spiderman/Beast is that much stronger than him anymore but in truth they are. This is due to constant writing that shows Cap doing things well beyond peak human.

Feats wise, 616 Cap and Ultimate Cap are pretty equal. Ultimate Cap just seems consistently higher because he fights dirty and doesn’t try to avoid murder.

One thing though how is USAGENT stronger 10 times stronger than Cap when Cap has the one original Supreme soldier serum running in his system and didn't USAGENT used to be the Captain America of the 50s that took Steve's place while he was on ice?

And a lot of them has skills in actual wrestling/grappling. Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Brock Lesnar - all of them was not only pro wrestlers, but a legit MMA fighters.

Bucky isn't a super soldier. He has the metal arm. And later on in the comics, he's given the Infinity Formula, by Fury. But he's not a super soldier. He's [originally] the same tier as Falcon, DD, Hawkeye etc..

OMG! I can't tell you how many times I said WHAAAAT! This is thee best Captain America video to date. I didn't know Gambit went toe to toe with the Cap. Dude you getting a sub. Well done. P.S- I think he could take Batman and Wonder-woman at the same time and win (If Wonder-woman was no stronger than Cap) He basically has super-speed. I would love to see the MCU make a sonic boom sound when Cap throws his shield, say a last second toss to save someone, then they all look at him like did he just do that.
