How Steph Curry Overcame Kevin Durant: Warriors At Thunder

Спорт

Coach Nick broke down what was arguably the greatest game of the year - when Stephen Curry overcame a sprained ankle to lead the Warriors to a 121-118 Overtime victory at Oklahoma City. While Kevin Durant did his share with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists, he fouled out in overtime and key decisions by the Thunder resulted in their downfall.

+Johnas Dela Cruz Iggy is clutch. He is a poor to average 3 point shooter but there have been at least 4-5 games I can think where he hits a clutch 3 to win the game.. some of them buzzer beaters. Some people like Iggy just have the clutch gene whilst others like Lebron don't

+John Montgomery lol Barkley is repeating a quote and it starts "his mama" cus thats what Heavyweight contender Ernie Terrell said in response to reporters inquiring why he was not calling Cassius Clay by the name he insisted the world refer to him as foreverafter........ Muhammad Ali (barkleys favorite athlete). When Terrell responded with the above quote and did not change his stance when confronted by Ali in press conference before thier fight..... On fight night Ali gave him an epic merciless beating in the ring while verbally assaulting him inquiring "WHATS MY NAME CHUMP" in clinches. Needless to say Terrell and few other people repeated that mistake again until Barkley, but since im sure he knows its not about him Ali has graciously given him a pass on that one ;)

warriors' big 3 are very rare and special. Curry - superb ball handling, can pull up from anywhere on the court with his (impossible to block)quick release, has the agility and soft touch and creates plays. Klay - a lockdown defender, an elite shooter and an explosive scorer. Green - the ultimate role player. who's quick and strong at the same time. who can guard every position. who boxes and battles for rebounds, hustles for loose ball, who is a triple-threat offensively (may shoot, pass or dribble drive), can either spot up or post up, sets solid screens for Curry that leads to either pick n' roll or pick n' pop and has really great court vision

That Curry right foot left foot shot motion break down was extremely nuanced. Thanks for showing that. That just shows that Curry has put in all sorts of fundamentals to keep the best defenders off balance. An unorthodox footwork motion in a shot here, a fake screen there, is all it takes to give these guys that sliver of daylight to pull up....Amazing!

I wanna know how he maintains his mechanics and form up to that distance, some players from there are heaving it, or their form goes out the window looking for power, like Westbrook airballing from 30 feet in that game. Curry's shot is identical from 38 feet to mid-range, it's unbelievable.

I hate it when people say "Well LeBron choked in 2011 and Curry choked in 2016." no, the other team played a system which slowed them down enough. Go watch Mark Cuban destroy skip bayless and you'll see what i mean. Cavs last finals intentionally made Steph play as much iso defence as possible because they knew his ankle wasn't 100%. If you're ankle hurts and you have to defend Lebron and Kyrie, your ankle is gonna hurt a lot more, especially if you're not amazing at 1 on 1 d. People need to give credit to teams who manange the game expertly and appreciate greatness where credit is due. P.S. im a cavs fan lmao

I'm betting my money on the 2015-16 Warriors. Nobody and I mean NOBODY can guard Curry. The Warriors deathball lineup is unguardable because of the endless pick and rolls to force mismatches. Everybody in that lineup can guard, dribble, and shoot the lights out. I love MJ and he would have his, but his team would have never faced anything like the 2015-16 Warriors. I don't even think he honestly cares about the thunder. I feel bad (as a thunder fan) watching great players like Anthony morrow and Cameron Payne sitting on the bench... Almost the whole game. Idk why foye is getting more minutes than Payne now that he's on the team... Or why singler plays that much. Mitch mcgarry would help this team a lot........ I think

I have a theory that Westbrook's three point shot will improve as his athleticism dies down. The reason his shot is bad is because he jumps too high and releases far too late which makes every shot out of control. I think it will improve later but not in his prime

I find myself screaming at the TV telling them to move the ball instead of going to the high pin play almost every possession in the clutch. They have guys that can shoot so use them, trust them. OKC is the only team that can beat the Warriors IMO but the only way they can do that is in Donovans hands. When they get static, call a timeout just like he did in this game and get them moving that ball. They lose the game when they start playing Iso and it totally kills me when I got to sit there and hope the ball goes in. Smh
