HOW SPONSORS HELPED SAIFUL BUILD HIS BUSINESS AND SUPPORT HIS FAMILY

In a community where most people earn a living farming, fishing, laboring or delivering goods with a hand cart, Saiful relies on his skills as an entrepreneur to support his family, running a small snack stall. He hasn’t been able to walk since he was seven and had to learn early how to be self-reliant to meet the challenges of growing up with a disability in rural Bangladesh.
Putting enough food on the table was never easy, but the COVID-19 pandemic and cost of living rises that followed brought a whole new level of financial pressure. That was when Saiful says the partnership of his 13-year-old son, Tanjel’s, sponsors helped the most.
Saiful got assistance to expand the stall, and that has made it possible for them to be self-sufficient. Now
-Tanjel can go to school
-The family can eat better
-They can save money to cope with future challenges
-Saiful can set new goals to expand the business
