Wow, this was so interesting, this is exactly what is happening here in South Africa too, electricity prices are exorbitant, and Solar installations are increasing however the same here, we are running out of stock and the public does not understand that with each new shipment of stock, those prices rise too. Not to mention the amount of load-shedding (what you know as blackouts, we just actually have planned outages ranging for anything from 4-6 hours every day) from our electricity provider Eskom. Prices are definitely on the way up globally. We've been having more blackouts recently on the eastern seaboard of Australia as well, so it is great when people are able to take more control of their power usage and protect themselves against blackouts with a quality solar and battery set up at home.
