Marvelous! What a selection of diverse and beautiful environments. The spectacular white-tailed eagle, the bat-eared foxes, the platypus, the tree kangaroo. Just splendid. Thank you. I feel I learned much.

many animals can see IR light even though it is not visible to humans, so even though the whiskers are helping detect objects, the test in IR light probably is not going to stand up under scrutiny.

I suppose uneducated farmers, hunters and the like see them as pests. I don’t blame them. We’re not the people dealing with them.

Thank you for this wonderful video! You have my deep respect and admiration for showing humanity how we really should co- exist with our fellow creatures. It is so heartwarming how many kind, wise people devote their entire lives raising animals, saving them, teaching us how intelligent, needed and sensitive they can be. If we don't stop our ruthless extermination of so many species, we are damaging the entire planet and thereby ourselves. We are all interconnected. Blessings to all.

@25:18, they baited the puzzlebox with raisins. Raisins (and in turn, grapes) are poisonous not only to dogs but to all canids. You'd think as biologists that they'd know this. I'm sure a few raisins won't kill the fox, but feeding them something that can damage their kidneys is unacceptable, especially since these are smaller species of canids.

I don’t know 1 culture I think in Mongolia they have been releasing eagles back to the wild for years. They climb up a mountains for grab a baby eagle out of the nest before they even get feathers. They teach the birds how to hunt for them for 5 or 6 years till they become sexually mature then they release them in to the wild. They watch the birds they have released and always take a baby bird from the second or third clutch they have. Since most eagles have 2 eggs laid a week apart and the stronger baby the first born eagle kills the smaller or second born so the first born gets all the food. These bird men climb up and grab the smaller second born eagle to do the training and to be released later on. So they are really saving the baby that would be killed making the area where the greatest concentration of these huge rare eagles anywhere.

It's amazing how the bat eared foxes are able to learn in the process of hunting. And humans think they are the most intelligent life form on this planet, but if we had to survive purely in the wild now, how capable would we actually be?
