How she gets a 1300% ROI on a tiny floating A-Frame

She built a floating A-frame cabin for $2000. I built a container style home for $300,000. Her returns are literally 100x mine.
Building fast, cheap and reaching cash flows within a week is a phenomenal way to make some quick cash. But there's also validity in building slow, creating equity and eventually getting to cash flows. Two different sides of real estate coin. Take a look at the cabin's ROI compared to my container home's ROI. Looks like it blows me out of the water. But you must take into consideration volume of cash and safety nets.

The difference (or one difference) between Cass' situation and yours is that her A-frame is an incremental build on an existing "experience" property, which is what you appeared to be trying to address by saying that she had all these other factors in play already. If someone has a 3/2 house they already rent out, and they do a remodel project to turn it into a 4/3 house, they've improved their property to add rental capacity, but it was incremental; they didn't have to add another kitchen, living room, garage, driveway, etc. This, I believe, is an important consideration when planning build projects, and particularly something to consider when designing structures (e.g. make the designs extensible).

What I am wondering is how much did it cost the build the WHOLE experience ( animals and all that ?) to get started and how much is the actual monthly expenses to run this business ?😳 Is the ROI mentioned for the initial investment or for the monthly revenue? I guess I am a little confused 😳

Hi there! Yes, land is obviously a huge piece of the puzzle. It can make any deal very complicated. But in both our cases it was relatively cheap.
