This is exactly why I love Graham's interviews. He listens with the intent to understand and not reply. Just letting them tell their stories.

Seriously!!! This is the best talk show I've ever watched. The interviewer's respect and patience is just another level. A big appreciation to the interviewer.

The only thing sad about this story is that when he got the million and bought himself a car, the first things his parents could say is buy them a luxury car too, they should have tried to tell him about saving but hey you live and you learn.

You can tell Graham loves his job. His interviews come off a lot more organic than a lot of other people's, I feel like because he asks questions he's actually interested in himself

I love how he interviews. Probably the very best I’ve seen. Wish to see more of him. And Shaq is amazing!

I like Graham, he listens and don’t interrupt his guests. My favorite one so far.

its actully a misnomer that athletes go broke by buying a lot of expensive things. most often its the fact that they literally give payments to extended family members, pay a dozen mortgages for family members, child support payments, divorce and bad investments (usually from unscrupulous financial advisers. NBA great Tim Duncan lost nearly 20 million dollars to a bad financial investor. the NBA put rookies through a financial symposium that started about a decade ago, and its been wildly successful. athletes are now starting to realize that spending money on extended family will inevitably make you broke. The NFL started doing it about 5 years ago.

He was young when he did the irresponsible spending. When you are poor your whole life it gets ridiculous with the first amount of $. But he was smart enough to know he needed help from the right person. Mom & Dad were just doing what people with no $ do. Shaqs well 😂 set up now, by taking good advice from the right person. And let’s be honest, his videos where he buys people stuff are so feel good. Good man ❤️

Shaq is hilarious man, one of the funniest people in general for me just to hear his stories.

Man all the "One time with Mike Tyson..." stories you hear, makes me wish I was a pro athlete just to be able to say stuff like that. Also, it's crazy to think of how a lot of these people roll with other people in their financial class. They are legit separated from the rest of the population as a community.

Ah man I love shaq. And as a CPA candidate who knows what he's talking about, I'm glad he got his shit together so young

It's amazing listening to the story about him with Mike Tyson, Tyson may have seemed like a big shot then but his financial advisor saved him from becoming broke like Tyson. Lots of respect for Shaq.

Real story, I once spent around 100 dollars in a day hanging out, I was trying to save money.

So the parents asked 'where is mine?' Instead of telling their son 'slow down'.... Selfish, if u ask me...That being said, I don't think anybody in NBA enjoy/enjoyed their off the court life as Shaq did/ is doing .... Good for him!
