How Shaq spent $1 Million in one day

Shaquille O’Neal recounts spending $1 million in a day, after locking in an endorsement deal just prior to being drafted by the Orlando Magic. Plus, Shaq says he sought financial advice so he didn’t end up like “all the other athletes.”

its actully a misnomer that athletes go broke by buying a lot of expensive things. most often its the fact that they literally give payments to extended family members, pay a dozen mortgages for family members, child support payments, divorce and bad investments (usually from unscrupulous financial advisers. NBA great Tim Duncan lost nearly 20 million dollars to a bad financial investor. the NBA put rookies through a financial symposium that started about a decade ago, and its been wildly successful. athletes are now starting to realize that spending money on extended family will inevitably make you broke. The NFL started doing it about 5 years ago.

I remember when Shaq started playing for the Magic in 92, I thought he was cocky. I don't obviously hang out with him but according to what I see online, he seems like a pretty nice guy. I like the video where cops were going to play some kids in basketball. They told the kids they will be back. They return with Shaq, the kids loved playing one of the greatest.

Of course it's not my business to suggest a man how to spend his money... But my opinion is that the parents, as a mature ppl, should look out for you.

ManUtdiszbest It's natural for a human to over look "right and wrong" when someone close receives a large amount of money. Sure maybe right now you might think that if you won the lottery or something you would donate to the poor/ charities, but if you actually receive that money, you're not gonna be thinking about right or wrong.

+Shruk income tax which is generally on your gross pay, resulting in a number closer too your net pay (net pay is the money you actually get to spend), and sales tax, the money added on top of the price of an item as a form of revenue generation for the State.
