Someone wrote to him telling him about this boys situation. He then met up with the family and took the boy to the place that makes his clothes and hooked him up with tennis shoes dress shoes and a suit. He never asked for anything in exchange. He's always popping up at youth centers around the country to stop in and talk with the young people. He doesn't make money from doing any of this he just believes in giving back to the community that help make him famous.

Its called an apple box (just google "film apple box"). It's to make her taller in closer shots that may show people from the waist up. It aligns her better with taller people basically for frame alignment. Basic little filming trick that is used in almost all TV and film productions. Generally you're not supposed to see it of course. You'll notice that the shot where we see the apple board is a wide shot. Little mistakes like that are the beauty of live TV.
