What we all want to know is: Is there any way our parents and friends might EVER know what we searched in incognito mode on our personal computer? I mean, the internet provider knows, but is there any chance for such information to "spread"? We all looked for bizarre things in some point of our lives that would make people question our nature.

It's possible if they have access to the wifi router you use and are tech savvy enough and have the right equipment to access the router logs. They'd just have to narrow it down to your device IP address and can at least see the websites you visit or even the exact URL. But you should only really worry about it if one of your parents' work in tech or if they don't work on tech but are overbearing enough to be willing to pay an IT guy to set it up for them. Solution: Use a VPN. Opera browser has one built-in. You just need to turn it on and choose a fake location. Even VPN is not 100% safe (e.g., if your parent/friend is a hacker) but is far safer from incognito which is basically worthless (just deletes history on your device). A VPN would be a huge pain in the ass for anyone to get past.

It's also great for browsing for travel reservations. If you keep looking up flights, they'll see the cookies and that you keep going back and then raising prices.

You just got lucky. It's still possible to find your browser history if someone has access to the wifi router you use and are tech savvy enough and have the right equipment to access the router logs. They'd just have to narrow it down to your device IP address and can at least see the websites you visit or even the exact URL. But you should only really worry about it if one of your parents' work in tech or if they don't work on tech but are overbearing enough to be willing to pay an IT guy to set it up for them. Solution: Use a VPN. Opera browser has one built-in. You just need to turn it on and choose a fake location. Even VPN is not 100% safe (e.g., if your parent/friend is a hacker) but is far safer from incognito which is basically worthless (just deletes history on your device). A VPN would be a huge pain in the ass for anyone to get past.

I only use Incognito mode because the black background doesnt hurt my eyes when Im up at 3am
