Hey Ranveer. It's not about a Western vs Eastern conflict. It is just that the model of scepticism provided by the rigor of scientific methods has more or less given us outstanding results. We have gained great approximations of what's out there and with these approximations we have built stuff that work and solve major problems or make our lives more productive. It is out of this gratitude that science has become our new 'comfort zone'. Scientific sanctification is such a meticulous process and so open to further refinement using impersonal tools of thought, so open to everyone familiar with the foundational concepts required that chances are very high of its claims being right or its errors being amended afterwards. There is no need to attach meanings to spiritual states because they are just states of mind. They are to be experienced if one seeks bliss. Spirituality is the most productive 'high' that there is. And to understand the metaphysical elements of this state one should resort to science, even if science takes 500 years in explaining what they want. We really need this western model of thought because it is a profitable bias. I'm glad that people seek scientific validation before blindly surrendering to a narrative. Probably they will miss out on something profound, but one can rarely experience something without appending meaning to it,and when meaning isn't formalized with the rigors of rationality all you get is mayhem and chaos. There's a risk in being spiritual that way. You need solid scepticism and an open receptive mind to get the best of both worlds.

Beautifully written. You conveyed my thoughts exactly. Thing is, I don't think it is so important to be "right" anymore. I also don't think most people care what is true. People will always believe whatever they want with no regard for evidence anyway. Ranveer is a classic example, you couldn't convince him if you wanted to, he will just call your attitude "western", and move on with believing first, understanding never. Abandon hope friend, these people aint gonna change, and most of them are perfectly happy the way they are.

Who said it was East vs West in the first place. man stop assuming things. What science are you talking about? read Sankhya philosophy one of the darshanas of Hinduism. the basic principles of modern science originated and was stolen from it by Western Jesuits. and they even tried to distroy our liberaries, universities, gurukul educaion systems by banning and burning them in the disguise of British empire and their demonic church based laws. Pratyaksha, Anuman, Pramaan triangle and cycle sutra/formula will take you to any practicle truth you want in this universe. even to the source of existence. that's how Vedic-Chinese civilizations arrived at the philosophies like Taoism/Daoism, Ying Yang, Shiva Shakti, Advaita Vedanta(Nonduality), Spirit in many ancient civiliations and Quanum field in modern science. Pratyaksha = study the practicle, tangible, imperical, inferred facts Aumaan = based on the established facts you theorize ideas Pramaan = you get evidence by experimenting your theories and discover new facts. and the cycle continues untill you hit the end the chain of cause and effect (chain of Karma and Kriya) in Hinduism or Pratyakshasamutpada/Pratityasamutpada in Buddhism. the illusion that western science is great and advance is actually an illusion. Science is actually common sense. people were creating their own gadgets/yantras and things in past like vimans and Quambaya artifact vimanas. look at the traditional instruments in India and other civiliations people were highly ecofriendly and more smarter, wiser and more peaceful then us. just because in latest couple of centuries money has been flooded in scientific field is the only reason why materealistic science has become so complex. I appreciate modern science for giving me laptops but I also don't worship it too much becasue to much attachment to anything makes us miss life itself. the school books, wikipedias will never tell you where the basic principles of Modern science came from. unless someone exposes the truth by themselfs. Science, Maths, Civilization originated in Vedic-Saraswati civilization. and the world was connected so many of the things was transferred to the ends of the earth like pyramids. the only reason why India dosen't have huge pyramids like other countires because our ancestors built those things all over the world. when we built something in huge numbers and we get mastery over it and we can also play with it by reducing it's size. so Indians stopped building huge pyramids instead they started creating smaller version for individual purposes and called it "Sri Paramd Yantras" the original name of Pyramids you can google image it. I don't know how to use it. it's different subject. but the point is "nothing is new under the sun." stop worshipping west because they didn't create science nor maths nor spirituality. I agree Spirituality is kind of a "high" and a wrong term which means different things for everyone but it's actually in it's essence it's seeking the truth of reality individually with individually preffered method according to our own level of consciosuness (Isthadeva concept). so that we don't have to force our religions and beliefs on others. spirituality is freedom and is bettern then religions and fixed belief systems because both fixed and blind beliefs, fixed and blind disbeliefs both are naive and stupid. the reality we don't know. be it modern sankhya (modern science) or Advaita Vedanta or any "spiritual tradition" these are essectially spirituality. in it's essence spirituality the nature of consciosuness to be curious about the existence, source of existence and the nature of itself (consciousness). the search, hunger, curiosity, lust for common questions and answers is spirituality. the real word for spirituality I think should be "Adhyatma" = evolution of consciousness. Some narrow minded people hate truth so obviously this comment will get criticized. the point is "western model of science" is a myth. there is no western model it's Sankhya philosophy. I am not against West but I am against false, delusions, ignorence and brainwashed comments.

Nonsense. First of all study science. understand doble-slit experiment and quantum entangelment properly. only then you will be able to understand this conversation. man stop assuming things. I am not against West but I am against false, delusions, ignorence and brainwashed comments
