01. Correction: The lyrics of Jiya Jale from the part under focus are in Malayalam not Tamil. Stupid mistake! My Apologies! 02. Ravish Kumar has done a way better thematic analysis of Sairat. The link is provided in the description. 03. You can support the channel by pledging on Patreon so that the channel becomes financially viable to produce more of such content. The link to Patreon is also in the description. 04. Although I have touched on the science of Phonetics and Linguistics in the video, the field is far wider, complex and dense. I’d encourage people to dive into it if the field interests you.

The master stroke for me was perspective change in the end. Manjule showed vulnerability of situation through the eyes of an infant rather than an adult who moves on with relationship (human nature).

My favourite part in terms of music was the smooth transition post zingaat .Ajay-Atul give you a catchy party song .When they get into the car ,the transition is so sleek you tend to forget you were listening to a party song and immediately catch up with the romantic tune followed by the serious tune.It brilliantly captures three different emotions in a matter of minutes

The analysis, the insight starting from 3:40 to 6:40 is absolutely genius my friend. Absolutely genius. You are single handedly changing my perception and idea of what a movie can be and what it should be. Sairat introduced me to Marathi cinema and what a movie to begin with. The subtle way in which Nagraj handles the issue of caste, romance and life in general was exceptional.

The whole explanation about the feelings of the lead characters being expressed through the traditional maharashtrian folk instruments is something I had thought about too but you have gone on to explain it in the absolute depths. Ajay Atul are redefining the way music needs to be introduced in Indian cinema. This sir, has been a fantastic review! Keep enlightening us with your audio visuals! Cheers!

The most in-depth review of this masterpiece of a movie. "Because when a director captures the imagination of a huge amount of population, it doesn't happen by accident, it happens by design." Super!

The medium and the manner in which you share knowledge is brilliant. It makes ordinary people with no background in film making curious about the craft. I also love your simple, easy to follow and perfectly paced narration. No over the top drama like many other channels. You are proving yet again that content is definitely the king! My brother, never stop making these videos. We seriously lack film critics in India, and someone of your calibre is thereby way way more valuable than the average critic channel.
Come on man . This man is under rated. He should have bigger audience. The way he narrates the scenes is too briefly detailed. Being a student of film making, missed points by me while watching is covered by him. Damn. Good job. Keep making more videos.
I cannot seem to stop getting goosebumps while watching this. Your insight is really deep. Sairat is really a masterpiece.
Finally someone from india explaining indian films like foreign KZread channels.. like storytellers and in depth cine.
This entire video was breathtaking. The video is underlined with so much nuance and feelings that most mainstream movies struggle to even fathom.
This video is impressive. It makes me happy that our mainstream cinema is moving on from just heart-touching story lines and exploring what film, as a medium of expression, has to offer. We also need more people like yourself so that more people can really appreciate the film as a whole.
The way you analyzed makes us to watch a movie like true piece art, the music analysis you've done in this video is great. Oh, god i'm proud to have one of the genuine critic like you for Indian cinema.🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👌👌
What a brilliant analysis man.. I hadn't realised the sheer nuance behind the magic of Sairat songs even though I keep listening to them always. Never did it dawn upon me why the song Yaad Lagla is such a audio visual masterpiece until you explained it. Watching the movie now is twice as enjoyable. Kudos to you🙏

Man you are awesome. Such a in depth narrative of movie haven’t seen till today. After watching this I can definitely say we all didn’t understand the movie the way director wanted us to. But after watching this I would say this is one of the best movie of Indian cinema till date. Keep up the great work.
That cinema was revolution, the ark of love story lost in Bollywood movies. I am not saying this because of I am Marathi. Frankly speaking I watch 1st of Sairat several time. But 2nd half just once. Because it's harsh reality and hard to digest. The analysis undoubtedly perfect. Just waited at end, so you could criticise the remake *cough Dhadak *cough fail to recreate spark or thunder of romance

You explored a number of aspects like instruments, language among other things which were just brilliant. Thanks for doing this video, will look forward to the new one!

Dude, Your channel does actually mark a new chapter in my interests on youtube (and in general). I am sure, this level of simplification of such deep & richness of "class design" of movie, camera work appreciation will educate us & initiate us to look for such experiences while movie-watching! Grateful to your work! Cheers.
I feel extremely sorry to have not found your channel earlier. It gave me goosebumps as I was listening to this detailing. You are a genius. Keep it up.
Wonderful video! I really loved the fact that sairaat could break so many norms and shine the way it did. I did find a few problems with the story, such as the girl and the guy being "alphas" of their clique. They often showed bullying nature and a flawed moral compass. The boy with rickets was really treated badly. I believe if naagraj wanted he could have normalized his disability. I felt as if the other friends' existence was to further the leads' love story, because god forbid they have a life of their own. I on the other hand really liked the rawness it showcased in the second half. Overall, I have to say im really impressed by it. I do feel music had a big part in it, as it was the one thing there that had absolutely no flaws
I have watched sairat some 20+ times. N I am a huge fan of ur work too. The moment I saw a thumbnail of ur analysis on Sairat, I was like "" YESSSSSSS"" 😍😍 Thank you sir & keep going.

My god ....your intelligence is remarkable....
You made me fall in love with sairat again..आभारी आहे
I really liked your analysis. Many reviewers commented on the 'gender subversion' in sairat including you. I think that the agency/bravado that the girl exhibits emanates from her caste location, precisely her "upper caste" position in the social order. It is not just a portrayal of a "brave" girl.On the other hand, the boy from low strata/caste has difficulty in exercising agency/showing confidence. Mr. Manjule , who is well aware of that caste reality might have created the characters by keeping this in his mind.
I can't wait to see what more Mr. Manjule has to offer. I am excited for his next work Jhund!
Great to see the production quality has gone up drastically. Love your work. Keep coming.
