It’s like the opposite in humans. I have red hair and it’s very rare only 1 percent of the world because both parents have to have a recessive gene. Whereas tigers are mostly orange and some are white which is rare

White Tigers can not be produced from every Orange Tiger they are Produced from Bengal Tigers but it is very Rare White Tigers are Just Bengal Tigers not a subspecies or something so if someone is thinking they are entirely Different Tiger sub Species.

It was mentioned, it's the genetic inbreeding. Reduced genetic variation, that increases the odds of defective alleles pairing up, compared to the odds with less inbreeding. That can already be somewhat bad even just in captivity, but it's made worse if they try to preserve a rare phenotype.

The text makes it sound like "rare recessive genes" are called alleles. But alleles are just variations of a gene (specifically at the same place/locus on the chromosome), recessive or not, rare or common. Every gene one has has either two copies, or two different versions, its alleles.
