Today we are hunting for rare and valuable commemorative coins, we are hunting through a big bag of £250, direct from the Bank!
We are hunting for new coins from the UK to add to our collection of 50p coins.
We are hoping to find all of the Beatrix Potter coins (including Jemima Puddleduck, Peter Rabbit and Flopsy Bunny), all of the Paddington Bear coins, the very rare Olympic coins, including the football 50p (offside rule) and Triathlon and Judo, perhaps one day we might even find a 'lines over the face' Aquatics! We are, of course, also looking for the rarest 50p of them all, the 2009 Kew Gardens 50p Coin.
We also collect coins from the British territories; Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, Isle of Man or even St Helena!

I usually ask for as much of my change as possible in 50ps. Generally, if I get a commemorative, it's a common one but I have had a 2018 Peter Rabbit that way. Nice finds 👌

Yup I had a person saving them for me who worked in a bar/pub got loads until they started to dry up , cos they were saving them themselves in the end 😂😂😢

In yesterday’s search I have found a 2011 Olympic Athletics too…still looking for a Hockey to complete my first book. Luckily I had kept a Kew Gardens when they were reasonably common in circulation! I actually had a number of them but spent them as I did not like the look of it. As you said, knowledge is key!

Hello, a few questions here... why the name Lafta? What’s your favourite beer?, I’m thinking it’s fosters, what is your favourite coin? It can’t always be a Kew Gardens there are plenty of other great coins, cheers Stuart

In your books, you seem to have an order to the coins, and know which ones you are missing, where do you find this information please?
Lafta I came across a cash in last week not even 1 sheild or Britannia I was pretty excited I will say its on my KZread and my tiktok 😊 never had luck like it in all my 8yrs of collecting 😮😮😮
