Rain should avoid creating groups. Knowing the character of Rain, I don't think he intends to abandoned them. It is just that he was not born to be an entrepreneur, he is not good in managing groups, He himself having a hard time to divide his time because he was still bankable. After 3 failures, he should admit to himself that Cipher should be his last.

MBLAQ, for me, was so heartbreaking... he left those boys to fend for themselves... and they were taken advantage of by their management when it came to their contracts and money.

I disagree. MLAQ had two members that didn't even wanna be there and it was obvious. Also Rain let the group go when he started having legal issues. I think Rain was a good dad to MBLAQ and they had moderate success. As an A+ there's not much more I could've asked for. If anything MBLAQ was too good for huge success. As we can see from BTS the masses want things that are easily digestible. MBLAQ was too much for the basic kpop fan to handle. I'm proud of what MBLAQ achieved and will always remember them and their music. I have no bad feelings towards Rain at all.

They thought they could make more going solo. I also always wondered why Thunder left to "study music". He has never been more successful as in MBLAQ. As a A+, I would have wished they all stayed together or that the 3 remaining members would continue after Mirror because that was a good song. Too talented, as you said ❤

1 month back, I got into Ciipher after watching Keita on Boys planet. When I heard their music, I thought I discovered gold. Not a single skippable song in their entire discography. It's very uncommon for a group to have amazing music in each comeback, but Ciipher did! It's extremely sad we won't get to see them perform again. Ciipher as a group would have succeded under a big company with the right promotion and treatment, they are incredibly talented folks yet remained so underrated. This makes me so sad that I just joined the fandom and the group has disbanded!

But big companies didn't give them that chance... They all were ex trainees of other companies... You can look into it... Kieta and tan have been trainees for like a decade but they didn't debut... So big companies didn't wanted them... Rain did give them opportunity which they weren't getting elsewhere.. it's unfortunate things didn't work out for them

RAIN is trying to be like JYP, being CEO+artist at the same time but the difference is JYP knows how to put his ego aside and nurture his trainees. RAIN needs to LEARN to be like JYP not TRY to be like him in this aspect, he needs to learn that to run a group under his own company whilst already being a top artists with nothing to left to prove his legacy is that the public needs more of the group and less of you, he needs to learn how to balance promoting himself as an artists and his groups at the same time.

he was CEO until got7/twice i'm pretty sure. he mainly produced and promoted groups like g.o.d, wondergirls, 2pm, 2am and miss A as CEO. He stepped down AFTER creating such successful groups@@lunachaaaan1072

I agree, I'll pass him on MadTown because that sh*tshow was not really his doing but what he failed to realize was that he himself was a relevant active talent so he never would've had the time to support a group from the ground up as well as push his own success. I think he underestimated all the moving parts that go into preparing and maintaining a group.

He is a good performer and singer. But he has an attitude problem. From misbehaving during military service causing the special considerations for idols to be removed for everyone who came after him, to setting up groups irresponsibly when he has no intention of following through. He should have stayed as an actor full time and invest his income quietly.

It must have been a shocking disappointment for all those talented young men, how sad for those who worked so hard to accomplishing their dreams. It seems Rain only worries about himself it screams of an egoist with narcissistic tendencies. (Biting off more than he can chew). Someone who gives a damn would have made sure all those upcoming bands were nurtured and taken care of. Rain seems to lack empathy and responsibility. I hope those young men will find a way to continue in some fulfilling career path of their dreams. Maybe you think my statement is harsh but as a grandmother of 5 young lads all with hopes and dreams, not supporting these youngsters is a crime. Rain should never be allowed to give hope to young people with such talents ever again. 😢

Imagine if Bang Shi-hyuk accepted the offer from someone to buy BTS when Big Hit was down. The buyer planned to disband BTS after buying them so their own group can be spared a competition. So I am not surprised that the group suffers after they were handed over to someone else. Just like Infinite. Destroyed to make way for EXO. I am so glad Infinite is back.

Please don’t say it doesn’t make sense for SM to disband a group that is making them money. Every group costs. What they make isn’t what’s important. What they make minus expenses, profit, is what SM was and is still always interested in. Furthermore, profit under main company is always better than profit under a subsidiary. Also, interesting how some conveniently forget how Inspirit were told to buy EXO albums to ensure Infinite gets a comeback. We all know how that ended up.

Rain's ventures are mismanaged bc he's not really involved in what he creates. You got to have determination. It's okay to chase dreams but chasing dreams and the determination to grasp them and hold on to them are two different things. Btw, how are two members left in a group going to survive as a group? Maybe as a duo or hire more members? Idgi. 👀

I don’t know the other members but Keita was a gem. I’m glad he was picked up by another group. He would have been great in ZeroBaseOne

Being a CEO isn't everyone's cup of tea. It's a big responsibility. I'm so sorry for what happened to Ciipher to other groups.

Even celebrities face economic down turns, financial upkeep for operations (long term) and trainees issues, song books etc etc I think he need a strong production team (social media, ads, strong marketing managers: fund raising etc). Its not a one man show.

Did he really ruin their lives? Didn't he at least give them a shot at being an idol? Has no one here lost their jobs or gave up their dreams because life didn't turn out exactly the way you wanted? The boys are young and talented and will find other paths of success. What really ruins lives are toxic people who spread hate online, cancel, put people down, too many times with tragic😢 endings

So true!! I'm tired of this "cancelation culture", there are groups that were really mistreated by their managers (example: omegax). He was the public face of those groups, yes things went wrong but that doesn't he should get cancel! Ppl do worse things than what he did...

내가 말해줄께 … 잘모르는 애들아 비는 직접 2개의 그룹을 만들었어 엠블랙은 비의 인지도로 많은 인기를 얻었어. 몇년후 비는 군대에 가게 되어서 다른 관리자에게 넘어갔고 엠블랙은 점점 하락세가 되었어. 2명이 솔로선언을 하면서 해체했어. 싸이퍼는 3번째 앨범까지 많은 지원을 받았고 점점 인기가 생기고 있었어. 한국에서는 싸이퍼를 너무 많이 홍보한다고 비난 받을 정도로 비는 지원을 아끼지않았어. 2-3년 뒤에 더 잘될거라면서 기대한다고 했지. 하지만 5년열애금지를 어기고 팬들도 보는 sns에 데이트 사진을 일상사진으로 속여서 업로드한것이 크게 기사화됐어. 그 뒤로 싸이퍼의 sns 는 멈췄어. 내생각에는 이 시기에 신뢰가 무너진것같아. 비는 아주 어렵게 데뷔하고 성공했기때문에 그들을 용납할수없었을거야. 결국 많은 멤버들이 탈퇴하게 되었지만 난 비를 비난하지않아. 많은 연습생들이 데뷔도 못하고 사라진다. 또 많은 회사들이 성공하는동안 사라진 아이돌이 얼마나 많은지 아는가 ???? 엠블랙과 싸이퍼 모두 비 덕분에 화려하게 데뷔하고 많은 지원을 받았어. 그들을 방치했다는 것은 전혀 사실이 아니야.

How can you say that if someone starts something and doesn’t actually invest into what he says he is going to. The reality of the situation is that he says things like he wants to find people who have the passion and drive but then does things that can take that away from them. Don’t start something that you are not willing to finish. If he wants to keep his career afloat at the demise of his groups then maybe just maybe don’t make a group…. I’m sure if roles was reversed and he was a trainee/new Kpop artist and they did that to him he wouldn’t like it. Furthermore the fact that he was a trainee/Kpop artist he should be even more considerate of the time and devotion people put into what they do. At the end of the day he needs to be a Kpop artist and leave being a creator of a group alone

Quite, but this is not how business works, unfortunately. The number of projects,in film and music, that are started, but then dropped, is staggering. In the US, 98% of hopefuls never see the inside of a studio, and studios juggle many projects at the same time, most of which get quietly dropped. A Chinese actress said when she gave her resume to a casting agent, she saw she put it on a pile that was so high the papers began to slide off...Entertainment reality!

It’s been 3 times and each time he has pulled out to advance his own career and caused major issues so he obviously is too selfish to make groups. Which there is nothing wrong with wanting to advance just yourself but don’t drag people along in that. Also rain has only had himself and his group to manage not a whole stack of people so this doesn’t apply to him. Wrong is wrong and he was wrong so let it go. No one is tryna tear him down it’s simply acknowledging that he creates things then pulls the strings out after the initial investment. Which is unprofessional and irresponsible in business. And even if you can’t understand that I’m the end out of everything morally he is wrong.

I think MBLQ's member is Sandara Park's younger brother. Like his older sister, he can get the stardom. No wonder never seen or heard that group anymore! @@prescillasabalbarino-io5rphe’s the reason MBLAQ was born he even gave them his own songs and got popular faster than anyone because of his popularity but he sold his stake to JYP before enlistment so they are no more under his management , he did all he could but two member leaving the group specially the famous one ,the group won’t survive 😮 and Sandara didn’t have bad blood with him she even come out in one of his YT vlogs ..

There is of course K-pop is just a genre and more mainstream outside Korea ,just one of the genre of Korean music industry ,they’re even looked down by singers because they said “ idols are not really singers” because well very few have talents in singing in a group ..
