Tan is a year older than Eunwoo. He's a '96 liner and trained to be an idol for 11 years. He was a contestant on No Mercy, the show that formed Monsta X using his birth name Choi Seokwon. After the show, he went to the military for 2 years and after serving, he continued to train to be an idol. So if you know Tan, it's quite unbelievable and at the same time heart-breaking when he said he can't do it anymore because irl he's been enduring and practicing all these years to make a debut. So happy that he finally got to debut in Ciipher with his 6 precious brothers Hyunbin, Hwi, Keita, Tag, Dohwan and Won. I hope he gets an acting role in the future too. Eunwoo said in an interview a few years ago that he used to excuse himself by saying he had a stomachache and go hide in the bathroom for a little while because he felt he wasn't good enough. Unlike the other members of Astro, he had zero background in singing or dance and had to work hard to try to catch up with the others before debut, and said he was scolded a lot for not meeting standards even when he was trying his best. Nowadays he's a talented dancer and singer but it still breaks my heart to know what he had to go through to get to where he is today. So it's no surprise he jumped on the chance to reassure the trainees. He's so sweet! All of them are!

I think Eunwoo (well, kpop idols and trainees in general) sometimes experienced and went thru the similar situation. Eunwoo always been criticized harshly, about his acting, his stage performance, etc. etc. I remember when Eunwoo apologized because he had acne once. I just like, whaaat. As idol, I guess he knows and understand the frustation feeling. In the other episode, about romance and they interviewed a married couple, Eunwoo even couldn't help him self to hold his tears (then he apologized fast). So yeah, he understand the feeling.

Rain is such a good actor. If I was in this situation I would feel awkward af

Cha Eun Woo, he really have a good heart to people.. I like his personality very kind well manners at very strong confident.

The fact that Dong Hyun is a big and strong guy, but has the softest heart for this Rookie group, and the way he stop himself from crying because he really felt bad, this prank really broke my heart, because I know some big idols went from this, just like Eunwoo said that he experienced this kind of scenario. And I felt bad for Keita and Dohwan, because this boys are YG ex trainees, they have the most scary producer in their hands, and they experienced one of the most brutal survival show in korea and it's YGTB. And the fact that they didn't know this is a prank, this probably break their hearts and feel embarrassed. Hoping for a success debut.

After watching this, you can tell that the whole cast are genuinely good hearted people. It was so nice and heartwarming to see how hard they tried to lighten the mood, and bring comfort and support to the trainees. Srsly love them all 😭💖💖

Some people didn't like this episode, but I LOVED it. Not only did we see Rain back at it again with his stellar acting 😆 But also we saw the genuine, good hearts of all of the hosts. They're all different but all gems in their own way. Seungi was so positive and uplifting till the very end. Eunwoo had a hard time with it, but he was still helpful and gave the guys advice and encouragement. Se hyeong was concerned but used his humor to try to incorporate some comedic relief and lighten the mood. Sung Rok with the chicken, just trying to be natural 😆 And Dong Hyun showing actual tears of empathy! These are wonderful human beings and I loved seeing their genuine reactions.

God… RAIN is really beautiful, isn’t he… he is even more anime-perfect when he is angry. What a VISUAL. Gorgeous gorgeous man in every way. Even his elegant hands are perfect. Can’t get over that perfect face.

I actually came back to this vid when i realized keita is here 😅

This clip doesn’t show that it gets even more intense with Tan saying he is quitting and even called in his mother. None of the other members knew it was a prank and you could see the strong fear and worry on their faces. After the prank was revealed, poor leader Hyunbin cried his eyes out 😭😭😭 probably out of relief that it wasn’t real.

For those who doesnt understand the situation. Thats Rain new boy group guested here by the contidion, Rain will prank them including the host. So he scolded his new boy group. And acted so cold towards them. Seeing one of the members cried, eunwoo really felt bad and started to get annoyed to rain. Eunwoo even comfort the group by telling them they are fine. aww

I hate pranks like this tbh cause trainees are already nervous all the time so this may make them get worried about performing and messing up..Love Eunwoo I can see him being a CEO in the future he’s so empathetic and professional

Tan is a promising actor now, he is so great

Even though the scolding was not to an extreme degree (I’m sure many idols go through the same thing as trainees maybe even worse unfortunately). I think what shocked the cast so much with this prank was that rain was willing to scold to that degree in front of them and a whole production crew. So they probably thought to themselves “if he is scolding tan in front of so many people what would happen behind closed doors in a private setting?”

What a supportive cast😍also, can see the difference in reactions of sunbae & newbies here. The masters (super seniors as producers) show their clear understanding for Rain. The senior ones like Seungi, Sehyung, & Sung-rok understand both sides & try to improve the atmosphere in a chill & calm way. Eun-woo sincerely observes & gives advice + cheers them up. He didn't stay apart but even walked to the group & warmly talked to them like a big brother. His eyes & body language show his emotions. It's like just yesterday to him when he was in their shoes. As a non-artistic idol, Dong hyun is golden with a soft & pure heart when he holds back his tears for the group just like anyone who first time sees how tough an idol training is😢

Same here .. I saved all episodes. This reminds me of how hard the life of kpop trainees to be an idol. This episode also shows the humane and kind heart and the wonderful souls of their seniors no matter how popular they are...❤❤❤

Eunwoo's way of affection to the boys is amazing, I just remembered once he said that when he was a trainee he got a lot of negative comment and also he told that a trainee moment was one if his hardest time in life.

This episode was fuun! One of my favorite!! From the moment they invaded Rain’s house up until the fail prank. It shows how the members are soft hearted. Eunwoo knows what it feels like to be nervous, making mistakes and getting scolded thus he made efforts to comfort the other member of ciipher. Seunggi’s professionalism shows why he is a top star. Despite the situation, he thought of ways to make the shoot a success. Dong hyun was a UFC fighter but the way he cried because he felt sorry to Tan. This episode was superb!!!!

Especially Yedam's experiences as YG's trainee since he was still so little, he's been with YG Ent. for years. He already experienced a lot of hardships and strict evaluations from his mentors.

Tan was an extremely good actor. He portrayed understandable emotions of trying, failing, and eventually giving up because he continues to disappoint the one person he is trying to impress. Rain was exceptional as well playing his role as a disappointed mentor whose emotions are beginning to spiral out of control. Sang Min and his commentaries may have seemed small but they helped deliver the situation even more. He planted seeds of doubt into everyone’s mind by casually thinking out loud the worst case scenarios everyone dares not to express. I was really impressed. I can’t imagine how to other members felt. They must have felt their entire dream is coming to a halt as they’re met by “failure” again and again. This was one of the most successful hidden cam pranks I’ve ever seen
