Great video! Would love to see this for the other melee high tiers, it's always interesting seeing how they've transitioned into PM. Some are nerfed somewhat, but most are buffed greatly by the additional mechanics (RAR, Footstools, wavebounce, dacus, IASA differences, etc.), but of course they also have to contend with the rest of the cast. And thanks for the shoutouts! -erg

Same honestly both my melee and project M scenes are not as big as a place like genesis. but they’re very wholesome and were very willing to give tips since it was my first time doing the melee match ups and some of the project M match ups. (i’m a duel roy & Marth main in PM & melee) will a sheik secondary since the zelda series is a Nintendo series i grew up with and is very close to my heart and childhood.

That's really intresting even if I never played Project+

If P+ Rollback becomes a thing, maybe I'd become a full time smasher again :D

That means creating an entire New connection for Brawl, so is possible to use it on pm and p+, and p+ isn't exactly the most popular thing now

Some of the little engine changes like the different input lag and the additional frame before you are airborne throw me off more than anything else if I try to play the same characters in both games. It sucks because it would be cool to fight with my Melee characters or my friends at full power vs our PM characters but that just doesn't quite work. I hope if the keep patching P+ to make some of the Melee top tiers feel more like Melee that they fix Falcos laser timing and put his Melee dair back. He isn't very strong anyway so buffing him in a way that would get more Melee players to try Pm wouldn't be unreasonable.

They ruined the spacies. It's as if a bunch of melee people left melee because they hated falco and fox. It's not like falco and fox are dominating melee. Maybe almost half of the top 100 are fox or falco but the rest are something else and half the top players winning aren't necessarily either. But even then, making everyone stronger while also slighty nerfing fox and falco really did it for me. Don't ruin the most popular melee characters unnecessarily and also be bummed melee players are salty about it in addition to making all the mid to low tier characters a lot better than they were. You realize there are mid tier characters represented in the top 100, right? What do you think a few upgrades across the board of these mid or low tier characters is going to do while also nerfing the top? But melee still feels better. It's a smoother engine. Something still choppy about pm and there seems to be a lot more cc stuff. Also why do so many characters get grabbed during a run and then both characters slide? That's weird.

What blows my mind is that one of the main creators of pm was Warchamp7, who is a legendary hacker and griefer from Team Avo’s Minecraft days(who played notch in quake for a chance to not be banned forever, tho he was nice and let them off the hook after still beating them 😂😂) I love how small the internet can be

Great video. Ivayne is another really notable Falco, though he just started busting out Falco during No Fundies League I think, so I understand missing him.

@@gpbear4 The only thing that'd be different is perhaps the timings to input low laser would be identical to Melee. I wouldn't think there would be any benefits to laser that make it better per se.

Don't know shit about smash except donkey kong do big punch good. Well made video tho!

Good, other characters get to thrive

Really disagree with the decisions to nerf the spacies in any way while making every other character also a lot better than they were. I think the PM community grossly overrated spacies and underrated PM boosted characters. The fact you can reset with falco dair is just awful.

Huh? Two of the spacies are top 8, and Falco is still A tier. They seem just fine.

i play falco in melee and i can see that he's clearly way better designed in P+, he gets to keep everything he has in melee but they're just tuned down a bit, he still has the personality of melee but is much more fair and fun to fight.

surely you mean the tier list itself and not the video :P i agree in that case though yes! seeing how well ivayne has done recently with faloc has also been pretty cool and i feel bad not mentioning him now. squirtle is evil and everything wrong with this world...
