Is he? Wasn't he mostly depowered reccently? The parliament of trees made him the champion of the green, but now that they're gone and the parliament of flowers has taken over and chosen a new champion (King of Petals) he has lost most of his powers. But then again, I haven't kept up with reccent developments and I'm not sure if that's still the case.

I'm so happy Swamp is getting more attention these days. I've always loved the character

Swampy (as I like to call him) is one of my favorite characters in DC just for his story ( the original one ) such an interesting and unique character always good to see him get more love

I would love to see Poison Ivy compared to Swamp Thing, both having a control of plants. I’d assume Swamp Thing would win, but it would be a cool fight.

I can’t believe people still argue over these 2 incredibly great characters.

Swamp Thing is probably the most consistently well written and illustrated character in comics I've come across and he is definitely one of my very favorite characters. His older issues are awesome but so are a lot of the newer ones like the new 52 story.

I’ve watched this man since I was 7 and I’m 12 now and still he’s keeping the views up that’s what I call entertainment

As a kid, I wore The Swamp Thing costume for Halloween. I thought it was dumb as it was one of the few costumes left in the store. I now wish I could go back in time to tell my younger self how insanely awesome Swamp Thing really is, and to invest in Google, Yahoo, Netflix, Apple, and FB.

My favorite Swamp Thing moment will be when he needed Batman's help for something, but Batman was being Batman so he told Batman "Nobody really dies, they just get sent back to the green. Help me and I'll revive them" then in the end he's just like "Nah, I was fucking with you."

Li love how Swamp thing held his own against the Paradooms, those guys killed off half the league and it’s just crazy

Thanks for doing more stuff on Swamp Thing Arris! He’s my favorite character in DC and all of comics. He is super powerful but also a really cool looking hero who doesn’t need a cape! (Though horns and wings are accepted)

We need a movie with Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing is really fun to play as in Injustice 2. He's one of the many characters I was genuinely surprised by in terms of how enjoyable his gameplay was. Other characters that surprised me were Captain Cold and Scarecrow. I know Scarecrow is badass as all hell in Injustice 2, and his Super is straight up 10/10, but I still had my doubts. And then, I played as him. So happy I was wrong to doubt him.

I think Swamp Thing just became my favorite DC character!

I was a swampthing comicbook fan when I was a kid back in the 80's.

As created by Len Wein and Bernie Writson, Dr. Alec Holland was a standard super. As reimagined by Alan Moore, John Totlebien and Steve Bissette, it became an elemental. Btw, Totlebien (spelling uncertain) was losing his vision while he was penciling the final issues of his run. He had to put his face closer to the sketch pad, which lent itself to more detailed work. I have the last issues of his work before he went blind. Astonishing.
