I have worked for TATA Projects....for a good time. The idea is to provide compression in the tensile zone , so the net tension after loading is less due to already present compressive stress in tensile zone. Offcourse tendons are tensioned But in order to provide compression in the tensile zone of concrete after they are released from tension..

Bro can we use pt slab for this dim Slab size of 15'*25' and this slab is supported by column at 4 corner, 3 column along sides I dont need running beam in center, for architecture view can i use pt slab here

Assalam alaikum. I wana know wether the duckts and tendents installed on each floor? And layed in same parttern like bar ... in shape of grids? I mean there are 2 grids ....1 comprising bars and 1 comprising the tendents? Other than slab beams tendents.
