in both art and gameplay, peppino looks and feels like a wild animal that got itself stuck in a mall and is trying it's best to get out, meanwhile the noise looks and feels like a rat that got fed copious amount of cocaine and let lose inside a walmart

Funny thing that wasn't mentioned that much, but besides being a violence addict and cocky showman, Noise is also extremely arrogant and egoist, and will not allow himself to be anything but the best at any moment: - The Noise shoots Vigi at the first moment possible without the player's input or even waiting for the "DRAW" sign to appear at the end of Vigi'a fight - In GOLF, Noise modifies the minimum strikes on the golf courses so you always obtain a Primo Burg' - In Fastfood Saloon and Gnome Forest, the time sensitive elements of the Toppins are entirely ignorable; the Noise can beat the Horseys if they reach the goal before him, allowing him to pick up the Toppins, while he outright kills the Pizza Gnomes no matter what and destroys the Gnomes' houses to obtain the Toppins - In both Gnome Forest and The Pig City, Gustavo is replaced by another Noise, showing his inability to allow anyone else to be the star of the level - The scream at Fake Peppino's monstrous form can also be seen as his ego driving him to not be hurt by a monster - Finally, the entire final boss, Crumbling Tower and credits show the Noise's need to be the number one the most as he suddenly obtains a new, unexplained energy boost on Phase 3; in Crumbling Tower, he shows how the only people he cares about are those that in some feed his ego as he rescues Noisette and a Noiz (and the bucket), but rushes through everyone else that still remains and leaves them to be crushed; and finally, the credits show how the NG+ playthrough is the Noise's retelling of Peppino's story as a movie, inserting himself and his close ones to boost his ego as high as possible (even if this means filming an actual death with Doise's boss fight ending with Peddito swooping in and murdering him, leaving his corpse for both the regular boss and on Phase 3 of the final fight) Besides this, great video like before with Peppino's analysis

I think Peddito swooping in and killing The Doise wasn't part of the script. But he didn't want to hire another actor for him so he just left his corpse in the set

I love how his parry animations act as almost a microcosm of the 3 things you mentioned. One, he acts all goofy and silly, wagging his finger and sticking out his tongue. Two, he blocks the attack with his sharp teeth, staring down at his opponent with crazed eyes. Three, he uses his cape as a way of protecting himself, spinning around, causing the attack to be deflected like Mario's feather cape.

The amount of personality put into the noise in ALL of his animations is actually insane . Kid me was originally in aww whenever he saw tails in sonic 2 , NO WAY this is possible ?! And the noise is basically that but on crack

Really, you should have mentioned The Doise! The background is very strange, and very interesting to me.

I'd like to add a personal observation. The noise is most of the time flat coloured. As in he lacks any shading outside of the shine on his nose. which is in contrast to the levels which itself, Peppino and many enemies (with a few exceptions) inside have shading. idk if intentional, but it makes The noise pop out and appear like an intruder going where he wasn't supposed too. Which he kind of is as the levels were never designed with him in mind. Only during some more impactful transformations like the armor and the ghost does shading seem to sneak in.

10:15 I'm pretty sure the first thing he pulls out is a flask full of alcohol. I think it's a play on how alcohol makes you feel warm so when he's cold in the freezer level he pulls out his flask and drinks alcohol. The other reason why I'm confident that it's alcohol is because he hiccups and a bubble comes out which is a classic signifier that a person is drunk in cartoons.

the noise can be unlocked by hitting peppino on the start screen abunch of times, thats how i unlocked him and i havent even beaten the game

Yeah this is pretty much what I expected from this video, the noise's animations are all exquisite and emphasize his more chaotic madman personality compared to Peppino, and I love how varied they were able to create this game

Pizza tower is the reason i like doing and making pixel art (and the spike foot style)

out of all the bosses who give their own weird vibe to the sprite art and still compliment it well, Fake Peppino is definitely one of them bro can go from having the dumbest unmoving grin on his face to suddenly being frog-like or just incredibly stretchy, i love him so much

Once and for all, he drinks gas, you can come to that conclusion because he can use his jetpack to fly right after drinking it

I remember saying to my brother, who introduced me to pizza tower, after beating the game like five times "man, I wish I could feel the same way that I felt the first time..." Soon after, this update came and oh boy what a feeling! 🍕🧡

I love playing swap mode Using Peppino as horizontal speed and for most secrets And using the Noise for fast tornado falling/his broken transformations/recovery

I knew you'd come back for this game, Ive been taking a page out of the videos youve been making in regards to my game, and they've helped a lot. So thanks for that

Just finished the game, my final judgement was: Not bad! John approved and Snotty approved (but i did ressurect him, because i felt bad, and i didn't want my save file to be useless) And i got 85%

probably because palette swapping (normally, the dark yellow color is used for Noise's cape so it isn't affected by pattern clothes, but here it's supposed to be used as shading so it uses a different color that gets swapped)
