Welker being a slot receiver I remember when he went to Denver I think Peyton lead him into hard hits more in his short time there than all the time he was in New England. Peyton had a way of throwing the ball and then the receiver would get his head knocked off.

brady had gronk to take the hits across the middle and peyton had two studs on the outside to open wes up in the middle...not to mention wes was a great 3rd down wr and sometimes thats the only option...throwing it to wes even thoe hes not wide open but will catch it

welker was actually terrible with denver. he went back to being what he was with the dolphins...a nobody. leaving NE was the downfall of his career. he had a bunch of short TDs, but that was it. he was a perennial all-pro with NE, but didn't even make any pro bowls with denver.

Because I feel like this is a subliminal jab, implying that Tom made Welker, and Wes couldn't succeed anywhere else or something. He was great in his first season with the Broncos, had the most TDs he's ever had in a single season with near 800 yards, all while being targeted far less than he was in NE. Broncos had a lot of options, which limited Weller's targets, but apparently he "sucked". Lol, fool this guy is.

@@Keviekev115 Edelman barely played before Welker left though, and the Pats have had many small white receivers that were nowhere near as good as Edelman. I'm not saying Tom didn't bring the absolute best out of them, but a lot of it had to do with coaching as well, along with talent.
