I guess because they are a bit old to be adapted. speeking of the Kay scarpetta books. most of the technology and forensic stuff are probably outdated by now. It's shame though because the books are AMAZING

Her first book "Postmortem" was made into a tv movie

Love hearing Patricia Cornell in interviews. She is such a remarkable and intelligent woman. I've never read a book of her's that I didn't love reading. She's an inspiration to other women, young and old, who aspire to be professional authors. Keep up the fantastic work Patricia!

Tanya J with the exception of Kay Scarpetta, there are a few others that remain throughout her books, (ie her grown Niece, close detective friend, her secretary & a few others) you can start with any book.. it’s not a “series” ~ Each book is it’s “own” mystery to solve & because of Kay being the CME, she’s all over what’s really going on !!!! I’m rereading “Black Notice” right now, but read the inside cover & back & you’ll find the one that “grabs” you the most & start there~ I’m excited for you, please let me know how your loving it, after you start 🤗

Until about 4 months ago I had never read a Patricia Cornwell book. My sister put me onto them and I have now read about 15 or so and enjoyed every one. I must be honest and say that there have been a couple which I have found hard to follow in places, but i have muddled through. I look forward to the Kay Scarpetta films. Well done Patricia.

She's just as bad ass as I thought she'd be. I'm currently reading Depraved Heart in the Kay Scarpetta series. Her writing is incredible! It's hard to put down. Longest book series I've been able to actually commit to.
