Some kind of "Spectre Book" that can allow you to re-summon defeated corpses at the hideout is so necessary at this point. This kind of friction with an intended playstyle is just completely unacceptable and I'm sure has even caused some minion enjoyers to leave PoE. It's certainly cut seasons short for me in the past.

We need a minion notable passive that gives you a Grimoire that holds like up to 10 saved spectres you can drop as corpses whenever and if anything unsummons them besides death, they go back in the Grimoire.

@@LiliumCruorem Notable passive!? We're talking about basic usability here. Melee builds don't need a passive to make sure their axes don't just disappear when they move gems around. The baseline expectation has to be the same for people playing spectres.

Defeated corpsed or unsummoned spectres? Summons that were killed in combat should be lost 100%, but if you meant losing them to the unsocket bs than that'd make more sense

I love the idea of playing minion builds but managing the jank makes it not worth it to me.

The new specters are so good that a lot more builds should take advantage of them, and hopefully the increased awareness of specter jank means a renewed push for better QoL.....

better QoL? no no no, nerfs inc next patch or league...

there should be some kind of table, chest, vault... in the hideout that has an inventory of all the spectres you have ever raised, like a managerie of spectres. that thing should then be able to be used to return those specters to the hideou, probably for free to be honest, would make the life of all minion builds so much easier... and is not like having these dificulties is part of the game, is something that only spectre users have to deal with for some reason

Hmm, would the meat sack spectrum be a good choice for minion instability? Or are there better ones?

I lost mine when I changed wildwood ascendancies. Not sure what happened but when I changed ascendancies, all of my auras, my AG and my specters turned off. I did not see the corpse afterwards. 😢

I guess if I want to swap out a specific one I'll take the gem out in the hideout, have them drop corpses then summon them in order and the swapped out one is left to despawn in the end. I'm kinda worried they run into some Sirus storm or corpse explosion, like I lose my AGs all the time.

A bit confused here. Are you socketing a copy of the raised spectre gem in the +1 backup wand or shield?

I had never run a minion build until this season so, all of this is new info. Glad you and other are making videos about these mechanics for us new minion players.

You can also only modify your gear in a city like the karui shore and you won't lose your spectres or AG

Has anyone tried determ and haste spectres? Wondering if it would be worth running them to free up gem and aura slots for some additional utility, defense, or damage

I only play summoners, so I'm well paranoid all the time w/ my AG and spects. I was warned off of doing anything in town, as I would normally for safety, told that the new spects dont respect that "in town" tech. Thanks for showing me that it does in fact work just fine. I got all the right spectres today, after I used Raise Spectre on them I forgot to change the keybind back to Haste(with divine blessing) so I did an entire map pressing Raise Spectre on everything on the ground :) Lost 2+ divines worth of corpses from desecrate pool xD

Press control to open the second shotcourt bar and put spectres there

Also consider annoints like Decay Ward or Indomitable Army, can help a bit. Also, especially with SRS the mastery that restores minion life on minion death is really helpful since you're spamming SRS a lot

I believe. There could be an area added to the game as well. Possibly a cemetery in the Menagerie. Where great beasts now lay. Here you would be able to place your corpses. Then they could be summoned via your spectre gem at any time you need it. And if you accidentally remove your gem or lower your level of raise spectre gem and lose a spectre that way. You would always be able to find that corpse you purchased placed back at that location in the cemetery. Update is I lost my 2 more corpses. Removed my head piece which lowered my raise spectre gem and desecrated another while trying to get them in order when raising them to have pale seraphim first.

When you say you was in town and moved gems around and went back to hideout all your spectres were on the ground? I thought since these are wildwood spectres they are just gone, but were these ones actually on the ground waiting for you when you went back to hideout? Also you said make sure Gems are in the same socket as before, is that for just the Raise Spectre Gem or actually every Gem in that piece of gear. One last question: My understanding is that your swap gear Raise Spectre gem has to be same level as your main gear piece Spectre Gem? I am just making sure of this cause I also lost a bunch of Wildwood Spectres in last few days and trying to avoid this again. Thanks for covering this issue.

There's a bug where the Perfect Forest Warrior does not give the onslaught buff. This usually happens if you re-enter the instance, such as going to the woodlands to find wisps. I recorded video of it, it's happening regularly and there are only a few posts on the forums about it. Edit: There's a bug where you lose spectres if you change specialization in the forest, i.e. going from Warden to Maji . This was just one person and maybe they just didn't see the corpses on the ground or something.

Heads up if you use Carrion Golem of Scavenging. It will consume your Spectre corpses (or any corpses in that regard) if it is in range of them so remove the gem to unsummon it to bypass this issue. The amount of stuff one has to take in regard to not loosing these Spectre corpses are a bit headache inducing.

Just need confirmation, so if i take out just the summon spectre gem, it will spawn the respective corpse on the ground right? I believe i take off the item, there's nothing spawn it's just gone

I did it too today, rolled implicits and lost my dog, 2 divine mistake. Instead of corpses on the ground, they could give us account bound item in inventory, or just make spectre function like AG. you swap away, just recast on empty floor

I think if you lose the corpse anywhere away from the hideout, the corpse should appear on the hideout. Another important thing is that you should be able to recollect those corpse from the ground back into your inventory.

What if I need to craft my item in crafting table that has spectre gem in it? What should I do in that case? I am too afraid to try.

Do you or anybody in comments have the issue that different specters than the one you hover over with your mouse get summoned? Example: I put a forest warrior on the ground and summon it, afterwards i put the lightning totem on the ground and summon it but now i have 2 forest warriors. Last league, I bought a hat that had a +2 minion gem implicit and a +2 minion explicit and socketed a 21 raise spectre to get... 3 spectres because I forgot about the passive. However, it did solve all the weapon swap related nonsense.

Well if you change your wildwood ascendancy, for some weird reason everything like auras spectre etc. gets immediatly turned off and so i just lost my 3 spectres and have to rebuy them. Yeah this is kinda awful and thats why i didnt try them in the first place because raise spectre is so clunky its just sad. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else lol. And no there was no corpse for me on the ground (have no corpse destruction like an offering) just gone.

I lost my fav spectre swapping to an upgrade wand early on. Luckily I was t that far and I could eventually replace it. But it did suck.

everytime i need to change my spectre to other new spectre, i get so nervous. =/ they need to get into descrate even if it is one time use.

Does swapping Multistrike with Melee Splash really make a difference? I ran Melee Splash for awhile, then swapped to Multistrike, and noticed my clear was basically the same. So now I just run Multistike on my SRS minions. For clear, the Radiant Sentinel is doing all the heavy work.

Multistrike is drastically slower clear when density (and HP) gets much higher.

It's not just slower clear it's much more dangerous as well because the sentinel can't clear at all at T16 anymore and your bees can't handle 40 mobs pouring out from abyss at once

I thought my Spectres were lacking some chaos res or something and I even swapped one to Perfect Meatsack but after losing 2-3 Perfect Hulking Miscreations I noticed I was losing them gem swapping 🤦

I won't play minions because of specters and ags its just too much work that can be lost too easily

That's how I've always felt. Also I have to go out of my way to get the specific corpse pool of a heist mob or something. Its just ridiculous.

Spirit of Fortune is so OP for lightning builds. Wrath + lucky lightning damage is insane

His life pool is approximately half of an average spectres, so you need sone defense aura(I run turtle+birdies) for him to stay alive,also soul eater gem helps too.

so I have this situation, my expensive spectres are in my lvl 20 gem, but I want to buy a lvl 21 gem, can I somehow move them to lvl 21 gem? If I will remove the lvl 20 gem from my item, then corpses will be created on the ground? did I hear it right?

if you just swap the gem out in town you'll be fine, just dont do it in your ho or a combat zone

I lost 2 perfect hydras and a hulk in the same day .hydra’s died to a t15 blight and hulk was trashed by mistake i had to rebuy him so thats nearly 500c gone and im now looking for 2 new specters to replace with the dead hydras

if you change in town it should be fine

when i first check the miscreation corpse it was 50c, so I rushed and farm chaos then when i decided to buy it it raised the price to 150c and again rushed to purchased and when I check again it is now on 250c then i give up. hahah

Is this good for Uber bosses? Do you have a maxroll guide for this build?

If you want to fight ubers, make an uber farmer. I've killed ubers with this build but there's no reason to really fight them unless you have a dedicated farmer for them. There is a maxroll guide yes.

It can do ubers, the thing is just that the economics don't work out in a way that it's worth doing ubers on non-bossing focused builds. Pretty much unless you can kill them in less than 10-20 seconds and doing them in extreme bulk, you shouldn't be doing it. It's just how the economy has worked out.

I have all 4 gems link AG+Spectres+minion life + meat shield lvl 20 all gems and on map tier 6 yellow my guardian die 2 times i dont know why this ag is weak i find divne and must spend him to again ag....why why why? in previously league i have ag and neved die and not at 6 tier maps :/

ggg, how about totems, even in inventory that you can bind to a spectre so it always stays. little cans to save it in. :P sigh

Started my first SRS / minion build this league, with the new spectres and all I found it interesting, however... I feel so "clunky" and unsafe with my own build due to accidentally kill my minions etc, this is a super "ick" for me. I know I need to be more safe etc but it shouldnt be like this. I shouldnt spend 100c on minions for them to be killed in my hideout. Hopefully they find a fix for this.

GG solution is ok only one better one in my opinion if they droped itemised instead of corpses but that woudl allow to resel them etc and itemised cannot drop in hideout

It would be nice if game would save the spectres in gem like it does in animate guardian so if you put down your armor or unsocket the game you can later get them back. 5waying with spectres is impossible, you freeze 8/10 times and unsummoning them is... well expensive.

So. I have lost 3 perfect guardian turtles. A hulking miscreation and a judgemental spirit. All after changing gear so that my summon spectre gem drops below level 25. I wrongly assumed the last spectre should be the one to be lost (my pale seraphim) not the first. So around 100-125 chaos. I still think there needs to be something done by GGG. Imagine losing a perfect forest tiger and not them not knowing what to do to protect it. So even if you have another 4-5 divine for one, you don’t get it as you can’t keep losing it. So you aren’t able to enjoy the game as much.

I'm back playing and things are going incredibly smooth... When I used to play back in 2015 never had expensive drops... 3 days playing this league already got 3 divines and 1 exalt O.o Off topic, do you use any price check in-game application? Is it safe?

9:39 - You wish there was something better... there is, but GGG would *never* implement it. A container for spectres, just like Einhar's monster bottles, but something that can be placed on the ground in the hideout as a container. It would only hold one spectre. You cast on the container (soul jar/casket) and it summons a spectre of the monster stored within. If the monster IS on the desecrate table you can continue to cast on the container, it will not empty unless you manually remove the spectre. If the monster is NOT on the desecrate table casting raise spectre on it will empty the container and create the spectre. For the sake of sanity the item would be 1x1 and go inside the stash when not out and being accessed.

We should in general be able to ITEMIZE corpses and simplify the use of corpse mechanics. I would like it if corpse items would not work as temporary one-use-items, but as a way to unlock corpse types permanently for your collection (maybe for a "Necronomicon"), making them valuable items similar to veiled items. Wether you can get them with a special currency item that work like beastiary orbs but on corpses, wether you buy them from special corpse vendors (like this league introduced us to) or even find them as random drops from rare monsters, we just need the option out there to get them as unlockables! The issues that would need to be adressed from such a system would include: - Corpses created by players need to be bound to these players. Why? Other players cannot just "get" them for free or use them for free, they can only trade the itemized version of them, so they could pay for the currency to itemize it + a tip for the corpse itself to buy the itemized corpse from someone else. - Corpses from the Affliction Woods are busted, requiring considerations about adjusting values to bring them more in line later on, especially once you can perma unlock them. - The way Spectres and Desecrate work would need adjustments. "Summon Spectre" would now summon predetermined spectres in order based off your choices in the Necronomicon (based on what unlocked corpses you choose, up to [x] number of types), and you no longer require a corpse to summon Spectres (but you still can if you choose to). "Desecrate" would guarantee at least one corpse chosen from that pool from the Necronomicon to always appear, and increase the chance for other chosen corpses to also appear. I find the current state of mechanics for Desecrate, Summon Spectre and also Animate Guardian very problematic as they provide massive benefits, but an unenjoyable time trying to make said mechanics work well in the first place (that includes protecting them from harm because of their massive value). And having to make it work over and over again, especially for non-seasoned players... you feel compelled to use them in builds that naturally can use them well, despite actually disliking them other than for buffs or as another dps minion of the many. I like the idea of itemizing corpses and like the direction this league is heading so far, making them tradeable items and "improving" issues with the tradeable corpses, but I would much prefer less powerful but permanently attained corpses (and Spectres, or easy access at least) rather then just temporary ones. We need a rework of the system around corpses and spectres... otherwise I can only continue to go without them or suffer having to make them work.

Picture this: in the same way vaal skills offer 2 skills to use, raise spectre should offer two skills, one for picking a corpse, and another for summoning the chosen corpses. Would be insane qol, and enable soulswick to not be dogsbit

tip, if you take out gem all bodies drop on ground, so you can respawn w/e you need but make sure you are in ho where you can easly spot them. so spawn order is not as important

man i went to this video because i thought to learn smth about getting their tankiness up. Have AG and spectre with minion life and ele army, have indomitable army and grave intentions and they die in the elderslayer fight and i have determination and purity of elements, and still they all die in seconds...

I just lost another 5do to this insanity. I have lost over 20do to this bug, which is ignored by GGG. I am on XBOX, it is far too easy to accidentally unequip an item -- or for me, try to open/close the backpack *LS RS RT" but if you fail to put the correct pressure you get RS RT which is a weapon swap and that's a spectre and 3-5do gone. (When you are in the hideout, the corpse appears on the ground, but does not in a map) Several complaints to GGG have been ignored of course. Just have desecrate drop the corpse then I go to hideout

I ended this league using 7 Spirit of Fortunes. 3 from tree, 1 from 25 gem, 1 from chest and 2 more from unique helm. No other minions. Build is the most broken shit I have ever played. SoF can wave 30, do any map and ubers.
