  • @ishmaelisrael9209
    @ishmaelisrael920920 күн бұрын

    I can see benefits to both The 2nd method does isolate and target the lats more efficiently, by giving it a stable trunk to pull from. This is the most optimal position to train the lats But the first method removes that point of stability, which causes you to flex the hip flexors to push your butt into the seat while also engaging your core, especially those of your lower back to a high degree to keep your upper body open and upright. Finally, the lat pulldown from this position primes the body to move as one kinetic chain ⛓️‍💥 it’s not meant to be the most optimal exercise for the lats, but it can be a good transition to get a feel for the full body tension needed to perform your 1st pull-up- as Sean comedically shown 😂 exaggerated, lol but if he’d made the intention of using his trunk and leg muscles to remain seated while under tension, he’d feel his stabilizers working so that in future endeavors, he can use his body as a reliable base to perform dynamic lat movements
