I deal with musicians quite a bit. Take a note from how they feel about negative responses, "Even negativity is still publicty and your reactions and comments means you're still following and watching us". 😉 Keep doing what you're doing. True Pentaholics love you. You're Pentaholics, too 🤗

I don't think you have done it yet, but you should check out Superfruit's Frozen Medley featuring Kirstie and Defying Gravity. They aren't as theatrical in appearance, but they are sooo good.

Todrick is an amazing performer in his own right. He is so incredibly talented at everything he does! Check out his video Black and White.

Todrick Hall is a singer/ songwriter / dancer / choreographer / videographer. He went to the same high school as Scott, Mitch and Kirstie, but was several years ahead of them. He had some success on Broadway in New York after school, and started a KZread channel where he posted clever music videos / parodies. He moved to California and auditioned for American Idol in 2009 and made the semi-finals. Since, he has continued doing KZread videos, done more Broadway, done choreography for RuPaul's TV show, written songs for Disney and a lot more.

This video never gets old!! Todrick’s creativity is impressive. Black and White by Todrick (with Scott, Mitch and Kirstin) is super catchy! Kirstin: Rather Be, Be My Eyes, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Shallow, Say Something, My Favorite Things. 💜

Mitch, Scott, and Kristin grew up doing musical theater. I believe it’s how Mitch and Kristin met and also Scott and Mitch.

I'm so glad you guys got around to reacting to this one. Todrick Hall is a singer/choreographer. He and Kirstin were in the broadway show Kinky Boots. He's also been on Big Brother and Ru Paul's show with drag queens. He has many more accomplishments under his belt. Pentatonix was in the movie Pitch Perfect 2. If you've ever watched the first Pitch Perfect the cup scene comes from Anna Kendrick. She also sings the song during her tryout for an a Capella sorority. Cant wait for your reaction to Kevin's Fifth, Aha Singapore and Recording of Evergreen 🙂🎶🎵

Todrick is known for doing parodies, often of Disney movies. They are hilarious and, um, fairly raunchy. This is a favorite.

He even did a parody video of PTX doing Daft Punk. It was hilarious!! There's also a vid of Black and White that features PTX and it's really good.

This is Baby Pentatonix. Toddrick attended the same high school as Kirstin, Mitch, and Scott, but at a different time. ALL are super talented. Toddrick's dog is really named ToTo. Enjoy!

Remember, Kirstie, Mitch, and Scott were all in musicals together since they were 10 and high school. Kirstie was also in Kinky Boots on Broadway for a while. This type is good with them.

From the costume, I believe that's Scott doing the cups. It's the kind of thing he would have learned to do after watching Anna Kendrick do it in Pitch Perfect. BTW, Pentatonix were in Pitch Perfect II, playing the rival Canadian a capella group.

Yes pleeeeease go down the todrick rabbit hole haha he is a singer/dancer/entertainer I believe he was on American idol. His solo music is wild and he also has another song with PTX called black and white

They all have some theatrical training and experience. Kirstin had the female lead in Kinky Boots on Broadway for a few months. She reported on social media today that she was preparing for some sort of audition. Recommend their cover of My Favorite Things.

There is a "making of" for this you might enjoy watching. It takes awhile for people to realize Kevin is supposed to be Toto.

I don’t think Kevin gets enough credit for his outstanding beatboxing throughout this amazing video.

Fun Fact, Toddick went to High School with Scott, Mitch and Kirstin. He was a year older than Scott. Can you imagine their High School Choir?? WOW...

Todrick is 6 years older than Scott, just FYI. I wish they’d been in school together, let alone choir. But they are from the same town.

The little dog in the opening scene was Todrick Hall's dog. Because Todrick is a huge fan of _"The Wizard of Oz"_ ("obsessed" might not be too strong a word) the dog's actual name was Toto. Todrick is older than the trio, but he also grew up in Arlington, Texas, so he knew the trio and was able to prevail upon Pentatonix to appear in this. The costumes were rented from a costume company. I've no idea who did the cup thing; I've been wondering about that myself. Kirstin played all three major female roles: Dorothy Gale, Glinda the Good Witch, and the Wicked Witch of the West Side. Because Dorothy also had to be present in both scenes with the witches they arranged it so that in those scenes Dorothy was visible only from behind, so a stand-in could substitute for Kirstin. They needed Kevin to be present throughout and they were running out of characters; all that was left was Toto. I must say that Toto seemed to do an awful lot of singing for a dog. This was published to Todrick's KZread channel just two months after Kirstin's twenty-first birthday, less than two years after they won _"The Sing-Off."_ Why didn't it win a Grammy? My GUESS is that Todrick (the publisher and copyright holder) didn't submit it to the Recording Academy so it was never even considered for nomination, but my judgment may be compromised on that. I'm still pissed that RCA didn't submit "The Prayer" in time so it was never even considered. Todrick is responsible for the song choices; this was his pet project. Todrick is amazing. If memory serves me correctly he danced in Taylor Swift’s video “ Look What You Made Me Do”. ❤❤❤❤❤. Kevin, playing Toto, does the cup song if you look. He does the beats for the songs so how fun to have him do the cup beats rather than a song. When Kirstie is singing to Avi (as the lion). “You’re just a lying on the cold, hard ground” I laughed. And the shoes song was funny. Seeing Kirstie as Dorothy and both the good and wicked witch was fun. And the guys as Munchins from the Lollypop Guild was too much 😂😂😂

The trio went to the same school as todrick, but not at the same time. And they have done a few collaboration with him. But from what I understand, there was a difference of opinion between Scott and todrick, and that was the end of the friendship. However, there is a bts video for this. They did the video in a day at a college, can't remember where.

That was loads of fun, guys! Loved watching the surprises and laughs. Oh...Kevin was Toto, Dorothy/Kirstie's dog. He was a part of the original movie, so Todrick included him in a way that he was always a part of nearly every scene, but in the background, so his beatboxing was there, but not apparent.

This wasn't even nominated for a Grammy. The other one thwt people said should have gotten a Grammy was the Prayer. Their album Evergreen was nominated but didn't win. The song should have won but wasn't even nominated.

I liked their "Home" medley they did here better than their official full version.

In addition to the other mentioned things Todrick is known for, he was a contestant, and now a part time judge on Rupal's Drag Race. Scott and Mitch had a side channel called SuperFruit, I have to explain all this so you understand, On there Scott talked Mitch into doing his favorite song from his favorite Broadway musical, the Play is called Wicked, the song is Defying Gravity. The play is the Wizard of Oz told from the perspective of the witches. In this song one witch Elphaba (strange name I know) is arguing with Glenda about learning how to be the first witch to fly on a broom. (the name Defying Gravity makes sense now). You kind of need to understand all of this to not only understand the song, but their "costumes". Todrick Hall has an obsession with The Wizard of Oz. He wrote a whole album of songs, Staight Outta Oz, that tell his life story using elements from the Oz movie. He later did an extended album, a touring show, and a video documentary based on the album. Kirstin, Scott, and Mitch all have theater backgrounds. Kirstin was a theater major (for the one year of college she had time for, lol), and she appeared on Broadway in Kinky Boots a few years ago. Her Instagram story yesterday said she was studying for an audition, so she might just be heading to Broadway again! Or maybe she will finally voice a Disney princess as she seems destined to do.
