His mother could see right through him, he knew it and couldn't stand this fact. She according to this was a good woman and she loved him as a child, but that love had to change as he became an evil one. If anybody treats you like shit and then trying to kid you they have changed, Never believe it, they hate you and it NEVER turns back to loving. Very sad she died at the hands of her own child, it still happens to mothers today. Awful!

@@ms.tantalizingtori215 I have seen evidence for this. Nero was maybe the worst emperor in all of Rome's History. Caligula comes in at a close 2nd. Caligula was forced to go live with his Uncle, and Emperor of the time Tiberious, who lived on an Island full of naked children. He was Emperor during the time of Christ. Strangely enough they came from the familly of Augustus Ceasar who was for the time a decent Emperor, inteligent and did a lot of good things for Rome. he also came from nothing. Think he was a donkey farmer. Ha Ha

In the interest of balance, I wish that the narrator had mentioned that Agrippina The Younger advocated on the behalf of the polymath Roman Stoic philosopher Seneca The Younger and had him freed from exile where he returned to Rome and tutored Nero. Seneca The Younger had significant influence upon Nero early in his reign. Nero in fact was highly popular early in his reign. Seneca unfortunately got accused by Nero during the Pisonian Conspiracy to depose Nero and was ordered by Nero to commit suicide.

It totally ignores the Piso conspiracy, has Seneca alive and cowardly, turns a villainess into a heroine, all so phonies can weep Nero killed Christians, boo hoo, and no one helped us, wah, wah. Amazing how one minute Tacitus is telling the truth (Christians burned) and the next Tacitus is lying (Piso conspiracy to stop Nero never happened according to frauds). Before he became a despot Nero was very benevolent and was very popular with the Roman people. Nero initially abhorred the games. There is an occasion in which Nero regretted that by law that he had to condemn slaves to death for the murder of their owner. Suetonius, Tacitus, and Cassius Dio are hardly unbiased historians when it comes to Nero.

Brilliant narration, spellbinding account of the murder of the emperor's mother by her vindictive son, who met his end in ignoble circumstances.

Such a sad story!! What the sins of greed and power can do to a soul… led him to hell. So much to learn from too. History is truly a great teacher.

I think they were both evil it doesn't seem like the Apple far from the tree they both were so hungry for power if she would have been a man she would have been able to rule but women back then couldn't rule old ancient coins has Nero and her face on them so it shows she must have been a important lady during that time Nero seemed like he was one of the most evil men to ever walk on earth when I think of him I think of Hitler how cruel and crazy they were Romans seem to have the most brutal way's to torture and kill people I'm so glad we don't live in those days it must have been really scary for everyone back then
