I reached out to Noor when the Taliban took over and received a voice note back from him. I checked in on him a couple days later. I never heard back. This video brings such a sigh of relief!

This is a very important piece of history, in this video. Thank you to both of you, Noor and Drew, for allowing this story to be heard, for giving the story of the political turnover in Afghanistan a human face and heart. This story made me cry, for those people suffering and also for joy when Noor's family made it out. Blessings to all who also lived through it.

That was such an emotional and heart-wrenching video to watch! Noor is an amazing man to be able to get not only himself but three others out of something so unimaginable to me! It would have been easy to give up under what seemed unbeatable odds, but he had the will, the strength, and the calm to keep going.. Godspeed to him and his family! And thanks Drew, for the video!

When Afghanistan fell to the taliban, I wondered and hoped Noor would be OK. I am delighted to hear that he and his family escaped to a new life in Australia. Afghanistan's loss, but Australia's gain. I wish him and his family well in their new life.

I was in Mazar Sharif in 74 and travelled across the north to Herat via Mimana ,a beautiful part of Afghanistan . As an Australian I wish Noor and his family all the best for his new life in Australia .

I've just watched as Nooh told his account and having watched the live news bulletins from a few weeks ago, what an incredible, touching and moving account it is. It is so good to see him and Daniel looking so well. I hope he and his family live a beautiful life in Australia. I'd like to add that Nooh speaks with great eloquence and obviously remains very humble. What a wonderful person.

I think he doesn't need any fund . He is in Australia. The govt pays the poor people there. I am sure he and his wife can find job easily. It would be better if you send funds to poor people in Afghanistan who couldn't make it out . They are literally starving because of the sanctions.

@@mr.muhammadabdulbari as someone who lives in Melbourne it’s true we have Centrelink (Government payments) but it would be nice to help put money towards a home for his family since they had to leave theirs and a car 🚗. As Centrelink is so low and it doesn’t really pay more than basic food costs.

He said a long time ago that he will never leave Afghanistan, and he stayed true to his words like his brave forefathers! He STAYED!!! He loved Afghanistan fully and ABOVE!

@@venomm4563 Talibans top leadership are Haqqani network, who are based in Pakiatans FATA areas. . If you attack Taliban, and they're pinned, they simply retreat our East and recoup and u wasted all ur money in attack. Once they recoup they press again and repeat process. Afghan govt gave up cos to finish off Taliban, the fight needs to involve the country that created them , where they always seek refuge in. Armanallah Saleh, VP od Afghanistan now doing anti Taliban resistance in Panjshir reported this too.

Drew- I can't thank you enough for your role in assisting Noor and his family. As well, I am SUPER grateful for this reporting....this is true citizen journalism and now the world will know what REALLY went on at that airport. I shared this video with my entire class so they can see for themselves how the chaotic exodus from Afghanistan resulted in untold suffering for thousands of people. I am continuing to pray for the country and all those desperate to get out.

One Croatian guy Kristijan Ilicic raised 50 000 usd for this guy that he can leave Afghanistan and he didn't even mention that he didn't say not even one word about this guy and how he raised 50k for him and how much he help him and now I can see even another youtubers have foundation for him....This guy will start his new life in Australia like a millioner...Its not that I'm not happy for him I'm just sad for other people who doesn't have this kind of opportunity....

@@paskomadcap7013 I usually don't make comments but when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. I had to know what's going yes some people didn't have any opportunities and he seems like he is living now a good life in Australia. For the man who raised funds for him God Bless him .

Noor is such an amazing soul. I’m so sad that he wasn’t able to live his dream of running a children’s home, but so glad he got his own children out of there.

I am French and i was in Afghanistan During this madness and this how i escaped Afghanistan to France. Its was 22nd August i was at kabul airport it was morning 7 AM i was waiting outside for like 6 hours i was really exusted and also There were alot of people there seeking for help and i was one of them i went to airport with my french passport,in airport troops were protecting the airport from local civilians After almost 6 hours of waiting they let me in and then after 3 hours of really tought security check later at around 4 PM we borded a A400M there were around 250 people in that plane with me and then at around 6 PM we took of from kabul and after few hours later we landed in doha in an airbase after landing in doha i was so happy i was in tears And then on 26th August i took a qatar airways flight to Paris,France. This was my story. (Sorry for bad english. English isn't my first language)

As soon as I heard about the tension in Afghanistan my first thought was NOOR and this is such a sigh of relief you can’t believe Drew..thanks for this news💯❤️ Also praying for safety of others in need and distress

I cried while watching, still and worse then this the situation of Afghanistan and Afghans. World should rise their voice and start supporting. More then 35million people are in dangers most of them are children and women. Thanks Drew, for updating about Noor. Happy to hear. Feel happy to see ur love and respect for my country and flag ❤️.

OMG, what a journey they had been. His family is lucky enough to survive and find someone to help.

As soon as I heard about the situation in Afghanistan, the thought about Noor and his family suddenly came in my mind. I am so relieved after hearing that he safe.

EXACTLYYY! That was the same feeling I had. Once I heard about Taliban taking over Afghanistan, the first thought I had was Noor's safety, what will happen to him. And I'm so glad to see him being safe. Such a great relief for him, but still it's sad to see the rest of the people being left out of options, left into danger and struggles they've hoped to never experience.

I'll be really honest here. so glad that he is safe and his family. What he went through needs to be made into a documentary. a movie even. whatever it is... this is a story needs to be told. glad that he is all good and safe

This story is amazing. Very touching and the struggle is real which ppl need to know. I live in a rural town 1.5hrs north of Newcastle, nsw, Australia. We recently just had a Afghan family move next door. The community has come together to help them. I have introduced myself and my family to the husband. To see the struggle that they may have faced is very scary. I'm soo happy those ppl who have managed to get out to find a safe new life.

@@vj_great551 What do you mean by your comment? And I am not from Afghanistan. I am Filipino Australian. I worked in Afghanistan a long time ago under local contractor there doing projects for USACE. Afghanistan is a very beautiful country. I have met really nice friendly, kind people there. Their culture, tthe landscape, amazing! I pray there will be peace and prosperity there.
