Mario also owns a private island, precisely the one where his castle is on in Super Mario Land 2. Wario is also the CEO of a pretty successful entertainment/game-development company if you count the Wario Ware series as taking place in the Mario universe (+ given Wario's personality, he would reek in the majority of those profits and refuse to pay his employees any cent more). And of course Peach, Daisy and even Bowser are royalty, so they've got to have some cash.

just a small problem, Peach's castle was transformed inside by magic by Bowser. Peach's castle is not like that usual, if you want to see the real "normal" castle you have to look in Paper Mario to give an idea of what Peach's castle from Super Mario 64 looks like

@@zachtwilightwindwaker596 That's a retcon. Peach's Castle in PM64 was directly based off the same castle from SM64: some rooms are even intentionally the same shape, such as the foyer.

That 30 year mortgage might be a doozy... gotta factor in property taxes, escrow, insurance, school tax, and other local taxes.

I forget their name, but someone actually did this math for fictional homes (Peach’s castle, Ganondorf’s castle, Finn and Jake’s treehouse) years ago. I remember they concluded Peach’s castle was in Oslo, Norway based on the surrounding area. I forget the price but it was at least 100 mil.

Matpat definitely did this for Peach's Castle in Mario Maker 2. I distinctly remember him comparing the stained glass in that version of the castle to the one in 64 and saying it was way cheaper.

Imagine calculating the cost of paper mario 64's castle. I feel like that would cost a bit more, because it has a kitchen, many rooms, and multiple large floors. The second floor is about the same size as the first, but the third is huge. There's a very very long hallway, leading to a tower that goes up. Actually, it may be a bit smaller, as it has no basement, but it's still very large.

Nah, I feel like the castle in mario 64 was a decoy, and she actually lives in the castle in paper mario, as that one actually has living quarters, and a kitchen where you literally bake a cake in the game (as peach).

I'm certain that the SM64 castle interior has completely returned to normal once you've gotten Peach out of that stained glass. Hence the sudden unexplained kitchen.

I mean, considering how frequent and prevalent coins are in the Mario universe, it doesn't surprise me at all that Peach has a large number of them saved up. Plus, she does have a number of Toads who are willing to do all the maintenance.

11:06 Have you forgotten Mario Kart 64? There’s a dirt road behind where you start that takes you out onto Royal Raceway, so you COULD actually still drive to the castle. But this is Super Mario 64, a game that was out just one year before that idea sprung to mind, I guess.

I hate leaving comments asking for more content, but the discussion of bathrooms, heating, and kitchen made me super curious about the value of Rosalina's place. I mean, you'd probably have to ignore the spaceship bit, but if you treat the domes as rooms and the rest as the grounds, how much does it add up to? It's certainly a lot more livable than Peach's castle, where apparently she can't even be bothered to install an outhouse.

Everyone always talks about the Mario 64 version of Peach's Castle, but what about the Paper Mario version? That one's based on Mario 64, plus it actually has amenities like a fully-loaded kitchen, dining room, a big library, study, 2 bedrooms (one with a balcony), and is right outside of town!

I'd say this is what it looked like before Bowser used the stars to shut Toads in walls and create whole worlds in paintings. He's just tampered heavily with the castle interior here.

Technically, Mario doesn't die after he fall into pit or touch flame or drown (and other ways to die), he just come back to castle while restoring his health. So, if this castle was real, then it could be some place for Mario fans that can visit their favorite game locations. Some kind of tourist tour.

I'll settle for Banjo and Kazooie's tiny cottage any day :P

Well... People don't necessarily need to fly into peaches castle since it's seen in Mario Kart 64 that peaches castle connects directly to royal raceway, so I'm assuming it's totally possible to simply drive up so long as the track isn't off limits to the public.

Your dedication to this video is inspiring! I loved it! Another take would be to look at the Mario movie, but I’m sure you can’t find the same details and models. Great video, one of your best!!

Great video Bandy! But one big problem. You forgot to add the rooms present in SM64 DS. There are some more rooms I that game.

I saw a tweet a while back about someone who wrote to Nintendo a letter with various questions on multiple N64 games, and one of them was: “Why is there no furniture or comfortable living space in Peach’s Castle?” Nintendo’s official response was that this is her castle for just her art and riches. She has a *SEPARATE. CASTLE. THAT SHE LIVES IN.* There’s being extra, and then there’s being Princess Peach.

I don’t know about those walls and paintings, being a bad thing. If anything I think they’re a big plus! Just imagine having a place where you just throw all your garbage into and just go away, into another world! People would pay big money to away something like reactive waste into those paintings and walls. It’s great! This place is practically priceless with that in mind.
