The most expensive single volume I’ve bought was $70, then shipping from the US brought it to $98. It was vol 4 of Hybrid Heart, I payed $50 for vol 2. I couldn’t find either of those volumes anywhere at the time.

Every time I buy manga I write down how much I spent, I’ve always been interested in knowing the exact price. I’ve spent $2,332

Same here except I started tracking in 2022. Luckily I’ve still got a good idea of everything just not exactly

I just went over 1,500 volumes last week, and because I buy all my manga online it’s easy to keep track of how much I’m spending, but I’m spending full price on every volume, I’ll sometimes get a tiny bit off some volumes. You guys are so lucky having those stores to go to. Every few months I go back through my history and add up how much I’m spending, so in the last 2 years I’ve spent €15,000.

I’ve kept a spread sheet of every volume i’ve ever bought when and where and how much. have over 1k volumes and spent very little from buying almost all volumes 2nd hand & reselling volumes

dang, in the spirit of watching this vid I tried totalling mine since mostof manga collection was from 2020 on and still documented through ebay annd if you go through the crunchyroll purchase history you can still see your rightstuf orders and their prices and so so far halfway through my 740 volume manga collection I'm currently at $3,226.63 which doesnt seem as far far off from halfway through your 1000+ volume collection ^w^

I think my most expensive set has to be btooom, 13 and 14 had to get shipped out of Europe so it was not cheap😂

Honestly I don't know if I wanna see how much I spent on my manga collection 😆😆

Ok 2 shelves came to $4k, so 3 more shelves and some are more expensive series, I’ll say the total is $11k

A LOT of steals, love to see it!! Great deals for most! Esp the 20th century boys singles! The anything and something volume is currently going for about 160, been waiting for a reasonable deal for about a year now unfortunately. Did find shirley for €2 so if i am patient enough, someday!

Out of curiosity, what’s the most you would consider paying for a copy of Anything and Something? Sometimes I see them go for less than $100 online

@@ThePromG oh really? Lucky! I would do about $75 for that volume since i need to take the shipping to EU into consideration, which can get brutal. Some won't even sell to me because of the EU shipping.

I've spent so much on manga since 2019 and I lost count of how many I've bought. I'm sure it's roughly around $50,000 and I currently have around 5,000 manga all together.😅

@@InfamyOrDeath-__- lol weak argument, cause some people do. why do you think sam sulek and podcasts in general blew up? People like long form content. Baiting with a part 2 is lame. I wouldn't doubt prom already has it filmed, and 'next video' just changes shirts for the intro and outro to make it seem like it was filmed during different times when it all is probably already filmed in one go but wants a part 2 for more views

And you’re comparing 2 completely different things, podcasts are long form conversations that people play while they do other things. And it’s his channel, he can do whatever he wants, a lot of channels break up longer videos, as shorter ones do better with the algorithm.

@@InfamyOrDeath-__- that's not true at all. again look at sam sulek's blow up which you haven't addressed. YT values more someone sitting around watching 30+ minutes because it shows you are engaged and they can serve you more ads. Also it just makes sense for this video. Imagine watching a manga collection video that someone decides to do in two parts. Just makes no sense. yea they can do whatever they want but people can also call out that stupidity
