    I remember in 1987 my friend bought a new CRX in the middle of a snowy winter month. That CRX got through everything. I was so impressed, the only thing that could slow it down was getting high centered on side roads that were not being maintained.

    It is amazing how everyone has gone over to the K series. While technically a superior engine, there is absolutely nothing not to like about the B series. Serious power can still be made. It's kind of like the old school Chevy 350 of the Honda world. I'm guessing in time as the import world develops there will be more "heritage" builders who will use era specific engines. Just my speculation though.

    It’s similar to the Chevy world how everyone dogged the lt1 when the ls1 became the new thing. Meanwhile an lt1 currently powers the quickest stick shift GM car in the country. A lot of how the car performs depends on the build and the chassis it’s in.

    i recently refreshed and installed my 91 obd0 b16 into my dc4 as a daily due to circumstances but it with a ctr intake and greddy evo 2 exhaust and a crt trans it is most definitely fun. once im on a good map it will feel right. the p28 lacks lower end power and vtec is nice and the original ls computer is ok on low end but the two together or really the correct tune would light it up for a daily. full interior, abs, subs, tools. and im hitting 100 in under 25 seconds. I do miss the obd0 computer letting revs go way higher. but it keeps me from blowing it up until i get the gsr/b16 head combo in the CRX. shooting for a turbo build on that one

Hoping to get 210 NA out of it and try that at the tracks nearby for a year or 2 as i work on suspension/aero (just a touch of aero nothing ridiculous) then boost it about 3 years from now since it is already sleeved. Idk I'd love a b16a in my ed7 since its a b series thats factory to the chassis (from the ef9) and super reliable at high rpms. I've never felt that the torque from my d16a6 was lacking, and on paper the b16 makes more, plus a ton of extra power at the top end.

    I don't know. You may want to make sure the fuel pump strainer isn't getting pushed up against the baffle inside the tank. That could be causing the issue.

  • @GarageBuiltHondas

    @GarageBuiltHondas

    4 жыл бұрын

    I had to try them. I've read so much negativity about them also. I have no complaints. They are 3mm taller than any EF knuckles so of you're super low it hurts clearance at the upper control arm. But I had no issues getting it aligned at all. The caster issue is something else I'll need to diagnose and get fixed hopefully soon.

    ARP Rod bolts has to be the best bottom end upgrade for under a hundred. I have some on a GSR that I blown two heads off of. First, failed cylinder head was a "money shift" AKA mechanical over rev, probably hit 11k RPM momentarily. Second, cylinder head dropped a valve. Well, that bottom end is still going strong in my EK hatch to this Day.
