Dude!! This would be among the best video I have ever seen!! A creative person talking about the camera with such technicalilty with such depth, not shilling for any company, the humour in the video, DAMN!! I just wanna say this. @@shagral Thanks! I know some raw formats are compressed and others are not. And also that some are debayerd already. But you give the impression of more differences and the 'meat scale' implies there's an order to the different raw formats. That's what I'm curious about.

Yes, that's basically what the "RAWness" scale is about. From compressed and partially debayered (BMR, CRL) to compressed (R3D, ProRes Raw) to completely uncompressed (ARW, DNG). Also a lot of people don't realise just how much stuff happens to the signal before it is recorder as RAW. The old adage of "raw sensor data" is a myth and an oversimplification. But the most interesting discussion to me is the idea that RAW = image quality. That't the most misunderstood one.
