Brilliant I never knew spreadsheets were so funny. I liked when Em turned started speaking like one of the chipmonks 😂 So let me get this straight in summary if Em didn't have any snacks and treats and Lou didn't buy extravagant toys everyweek then the total cost is about 47 quid a week and AJ got a part time job as a guard dog. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Bargain 😂 Looking forward to the next one. Ladies you ARE a breath of fresh air in such hard times! Out of all the you tubers I follow you are both the funniest and happy go lucky! I really laugh, your such awsome couple who clearly bounce of each other's personality. I live full time in my van I the UK. I came back from living and working in France at the beginning of march with the intention of saving through summer and heading out to Portugal for winter with my dog. But being a chef has obviously hit my profession hard do I can't leave for or winter😢 safe travels and keep on trucking! 😊😀

A good laugh as always girls 🤣 It's a good idea to include vehicle maintenance in a monthly budget, so there's no surprises when you have to outlay money for tune ups, tyres, etc; And have on hand emergency savings for things like unexpected dentist trips, a broken windshield, traffic fines, chocolate factory tours, etc;

Thank you 😁 We didn't include maintenace as its vastly different depending on vehicle, age, existing milage, how many miles you do etc. And then for us, Lou does a lot of the servicing herself so much cheaper than someone who's paying for it. We personally have a lump sum in the bank for emergencies, vets, breakdowns etc. So not really a running cost. Most people can work out their own individual running costs and add that on, as our number may be completely different to that of a bay window vw owner or a low mileage brand new motorhome owner for example.

Hi Nicolas. We would bit it is so different for everyone, for example Lou does a lot of the service work herself. Costs will vary massively depending on the age and condition of your van, plus your mileage etc, it's a hard one to put a number on and something that most people can determine and add on for their own vehicles I guess. You two are brill..... takes my mind off my 12 hour shift on my break, can't wait to semi retire/retire, so I can do some more travelling(although I do about 90k miles a year, but with a 44 foot trailer behind me for most of it!😂

This is a great breakdown of the costs and hilarious to boot! However, It’s worth noting that you have not included depreciation (eventual replacement cost) on the van, or servicing, repairs and consumables (tyres, oil, coolant, etc). If this is going to be someone’s long term lifestyle choice, they would need to factor these costs into their income needs. Great videos and information! 👍👍👍👍

Hi there, thank you 😁 We really just wanted to cover the sort of basic travel costs as everything else for each person is so different, like we said at the beginning. That's why we didn't cover servicing, it's hugely dependant on the vehicle, mileage covered per annum, age, weight carried, manafacturer (as parts costs can differ massively) and, for example Lou does our servicing and maintenance herself so far cheaper than someone relying on a garage, it's too variable really to cost that out. People will need to factor in their own costs for those things. Thanks so much for watching.
