    do you all use kitchen scraps to supplement feed for the hens?

    They get about a bucket a week, but no enough to really offset the feed cost too much. They also have grass and the bugs when we move them to new patches.

    The feed cost is where your opportunity is, I wonder how much lower you could get your feed costs down if you started growing some of what you feed to the hens. Just a thought. @@cottagefarmstead
