Thanks for video! I was wondering if 1/2 " was thick enough but now you taught me it is. I appreciate how you saved material using your design. Thanks again! 👍🏼

Very good idea putting this video out Kai. Letting people know the cost of building your own rack system and also letting them know that the cost of materials differs depending where you live.

I need to redo my rack over and go with pvc this time. I'll look at one of youe older videos on the measurements to decide which way to go.

I'd like to use FB tubs on a future build. I'm looking for something between 12qt and 28qt. Mainly for adult males and girls that are not quite breeding size.

AWESOME video Kai !!! 👌🏼 Excellent breakdown, I experience the same thing when building my racks. 1 sheet of 1/2" PVC 48" x 96" (4' x 8') gets me 12 pieces at 15 3/4" x 24" for $137.32 (with cuts, they charge per cut) and I only use 11 pieces for a 10 high FB20 rack. Four 5" x 3" PVC planks for the up rights at each corner at $20 each ($84.76 with tax) plus $69.45 for 20ft of 6" flexwatt heat tape , and with wood & casters for the base it's about $320 for me to build a 10 high FB20 tub rack & I have one 15 3/4" x 24" piece left over. Which is the Exact same size of 1/2" PVC I use for the shelves in my juvenile racks with 12qt tubs. 👍🏼 I usually have some left over material that gets used for the next rack to be built. KEEP up the GREAT work bro, I Love the DIY videos. I think an update video to the backup power supply for emergency situations is in order. 😁

What gap? The heat tape will be up against the bottom of the tub all ur doing is transferring heat to the tub/substrate in the warm side

@@RisingSunSerpents-Jesus I can see the concern but again as the heat tape is directly against the tub it's not a big deal. Thats why u always temp your tubs, because your thermostat may need to be higher to get belly heat where u want it. Heat tape doesn't do a whole lot for ambient temp imo
