She has wide shoulders that slope downwards, a flat chest but a long lean waist, with a low butt and wide hips, and shortish looking legs that appear too heavy for her upper body (the thighs especially). She's very pear shaped, and it's not easy to dress that kind of shape - and with a long waist.

This is very true. Especially when the height difference is like 2'', proportions will matter more. But ultimately at the end of the day, taller person is still taller and more popular unless proportions difference is significant.

@@jasoncortez1238 maybe there are reasons for this, humans need healthy strong offspring of somewhat normal stature, shorter women should go for taller men, and more average or taller women shouldn't as much on average, we do not need midgets or overgrown people with back pain, the seals tells us that versatile men of average height range are best. 6'3 guys are not super soliders, and a guy who is 5'4 is not as efficient as he could be either.

Last week I learned that a 6ft6 intern we have, somebody with a literal gigantism diagnosis and increasing back problems, was dating a 5ft girl. Not only that, he says all the girls that ask him out out of the blue tend to be as short😂

That explains it! I used to think this whole height difference thing was overrated because I've always felt attracted towards short guys. I'm a really short girl myself (4'11") and at some point I decided I would prefer someone below 5'6" which ofc, makes it very difficult to find anyone in my range since all the guys I know are much taller. I only know a couple of boys below 5'6" and I do find them attractive.

I remember seeing a study on how height matters in the workplace and how CEOs are often above average height. Our preference to choose taller people is probably a primal thing built into us which we can and often do override these days.

It’s actually the opposite. Shorter women tend to care more about height than taller women.

I think the correlation might actually have more to do with IQ than tall people being promoted for being tall. There is a correlation between height and IQ. The IQ is probably the major factor.

I’m 6’8” but cannot say that on the internet because people either think I’m lying or are extremely jealous and hateful. Can confirm that height is not the sole determinant of sexual attractiveness. I was surprised that the shorter women preferred shorter men because in my experience it seems to be the opposite

It's very important to consider how a guy looks compared to other guys. No girl wants her boyfriend to appear small. That's why shorter girls also always prefer tall guys, and why 80-90% of guys below 5'11" to 6' are currently absolutely indifferent to most girls. I mean I’d like him to be my height at least but the last guy I dated was 5’8 . I’m much more attracted to face, body shape/muscle tone and charisma . But my short af friends all want a tall guy over 6’ . I wonder if there really is a deep genetic component to it. Like I already have the “tall genes” so I don’t have to search for a tall man to mate w. That's fair. I never got the fascination of a "taller man" specifically, but rather I always preferred romantically in men at least 3 inches taller or shorter than me. Something about eye to eye feels like a friend zone. I wonder if that's socially or genetically ingrained somehow.

As a short woman, I completely disagree. It's a major turn off when I look and feel like a child next to someone.

Am 5’9 next to my friend who is 5’4 it feels pretty close. His eyes is the same level as my neck. My other friend who is 5’1 is like below my shoulders when i stood next to her. Even if i compared myself to 5’11 or 6’3 it’s not too insane. I prefer someone the same height or even shorter. The lowest i can go is 4’11 guys. I don’t really like super tall guys. Maybe like above 6 foot. It’s too tall and out of proportion. You look good when your outfit matches and so does your height. Too tall you will have skinny legs. I like guys who have so much lower body build. Its usually the ones below 5’8. They have better calves too. Be okay with your height!!!

That's not true. The devils is in the detail. An AVERAGE woman would prefer an 8 inch taller man. Many tall women are less obsessed with having a much taller man, while many smaller woman might think 8 inch are not enough.

I’m 6’2 and my preference for a woman’s height is usually around 5’3-5’6. I don’t really want my girl as tall as me. I’ve dated women as short as 4’10 and as tall as 6’0.

By the way guys the difference between 6'3 and 5'11 is actually pretty close to what the picture shows. This study dont apply to tall women. Im 5.11 and was always going for shorter guys. Ended up with husband 6.7 but it was just an accident I didnt persue him, he persued me at the beggining because he felt more comfortabe not having to bend so much :D EDIT: To all the doubts in the comments. Im from Poland. Its not uncommon to see such heights. Im not even the tallest from my girl friends. Have 2 friends 6f (girls) and there is 7f guy at my work. Average for a guy I think is 5.11 but the reange is wide here. Very small and very tall is not uncommon. We love all

I am 5'7" and my preference is guys' height that range from 5'9" to 6'4". However I've fallen in love with guys who are about 5'4" tall. And for me it is not like the taller the better. There are physical features that matter a lot more, like his face, smile, mouth, smell... I like looking at a man's face. Some guys can pull off being bald, fat or skinny, or bald and fat or skinny. Just can't be old enough to be my father, or young enough to be my son. An age difference of 10 years is okay, but it's best if under 7. If I could, I would get married, but I can't. I always get bothered when people discuss the debate on “looks vs height” and which is more attractive to women. Point is. They’re both important. One shouldn’t live with one without the other. And if you do, try your best to live with it. Better than being both a short and unattractive guy. I mainly get bothered because to me it doesn’t really make much sense. It is pointless to debate height since it is the most difficult thing to change. I am really short but with a decent face, good enough to get some attention and occasionally be called hot in public by random girls. And good enough to not even be bothered by all that height stuff, but coincidentally I also live in the netherlands where everybody is a giant which sometimes pisses me off.
